Peaceful & Private, Thank you for sharing your beautiful property Davis Family!!

  • 5 of 5

This vacation will definitely be one of our family's most memorable trips together, it was exactly what we were looking for! The property has homes nearby, but still feels very secluded and private. The house was very spacious with plenty of room for more than one family. It had just about anything you would need from home. We stopped for groceries on the way and made all meals at the house during our stay. We absolutely loved relaxing in the hammocks, the dock, kayaks, and canoe access to be able to fully enjoy the property and explore the lake. We caught several types of fish every evening after returning from daytime hiking trips on all the beautiful mountain trails not far from us (many of which were suggested by the owner). We even got to watch an Eagle that must live in the area hunt fish on the lake, I think he wanted the ones on our fishing poles! It was an amazing sight to witness!! The lake is very clear, but does have a lot of weeds so we didn't use it for swimming although some neighbors in the area were. The weather was perfect. Only a few small showers or storms that typically didn't last long, and the mountain mist it formed afterwards made it worth getting a little rain! Any questions or issues that arose on our trip were quickly resolved by Kirk or the property manager Danielle who is close by. Be prepared for a somewhat steep but beautiful drive up and down the mountain.

Owner's Response: We are so happy you and your family enjoyed your stay at Camp Davis. We have made many great memories here over the last 12 years and it is interesting to hear you enjoyed many of the same things we enjoy. Your review will be helpful in letting others know the many activities you were able to do while at Camp Davis. We hope you and your family can come stay with us again in the near future. Beautiful views, peaceful and fun!

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful time in Camp Davis. There was plenty of things to do at the home from kayaking, fishing to roasting marshmallows and catching fireflies. The house had plenty of space, and beds it was also very clean. Townsend is a 30 minute scenic drive, there we went horse back riding, tubing and went to a cavern. Future guest should note there is no reception at the property, they have Wi-Fi but phone calls can't be made, that made it a little tricky to call local areas to make reservations, signal can be found withiwithin a quick 5 minute drive. My only complaint was that we didn't book a longer stay!! We really did have an incredible stay.

Best vacation we've had in a long time!

  • 5 of 5

This is a beautiful, peaceful home and setting in the Smokies! It accommodated our six person family easily with lots of room to spread out. Our teen girls loved the separate "sitting room" overlooking the lake! The house was well stocked with everything you would need, including lots of good books and movies. My husband and two sons had a good time catching and releasing over 100 fish throughout our week there! The weather was very mild even in early June, and the views going down the mountain are the best I've ever seen! Also, lots of good hikes nearby. The owners are very helpful and everything was even better than described! Thank you for an awesome, relaxing week! We'd love to come back!

Great Mountain Lake Escape

  • 5 of 5

The property to great and right on a lake. There were kayaks, a canoe and a paddle boat. There is a really nice dock to set off on the water from or just sit. The house was very comfortable and had everything we needed. The fire pit our side was really nice to sit by at night. It's was just me and my husband but the place can accommodate a family. There is a extra sunroom that a family with kids could really appreciate. My Husband and I were there two months while we shopped for a home. I would recommend this place

Great Place, Great Lake Front Property

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I needed a place to stay for a couple of months while we shopped for a home. This home had everything we needed and more. The house is lake front and in the morning I enjoyed my coffee while looking at the sun Glistening on the lake. We also enjoyed evenings on the deck as the sun set. The kayaks were fun to take out around the lake and the dock has a place you can pull the kayak or canoe into for easy entry and exit. There's a big fire pit outside and a fireplace inside and pile of wood. The kitchen is fully equipped with all the cooking and eating utensils you'll need and there is a BBQ outside as well. The home is very comfortable, and the extra screened/windowed room is great if you are a larger group and want to spread out. I highly recommend this place, it's a wonderful escape from the busy hectic world.
