Centrally located, very relaxing
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It was a wonderful experience. I liked the wood breakfast bar and log stools, nice touch. All in all, an extremely relaxing time.
Cute from outside but super old and outdated / overpriced
Totally overpriced for what u get! Applicances/heating/sheets ect are soooo old! Ripped curtains / stained sheets ect.
Not the best location but bigger than expected.
Got the cabin for Xmas weekend for my 3 kids, myself and a friend. We arrived late at night during a storm. Found the place and was surprised to see there really wasn't any parking. We brought our f250 truck. Our only solution was to park on the side of the already narrow street. The only entrance to the cabin was 2sets of snow and ice covered stairs. Once settled in, we were pleased with the space. The cabin decor was a bit outdated but that was to be expected. I didn't like that the spatula I found to use to cook with had dried on old egg pieces. The rules go over and over about cleaning everything. This made me wonder what else was over looked. The satellite cable went out Christmas Day and all through the night. There wasn't any real specific directions to where you dispose of your trash.. which is a huge rule.. "leave no trash behind". So Xmas night we drove around for an hour trying to find the trash station which was several miles from the cabin. The cabin itself was far from everything. I will say the staff was super friendly and our holiday was enjoyable. I do find it absolutely ridiculous they charge $25 to leave a key in the lock box next to their door at the rental office. Especially given it was Christmas weekend and we got in late because of the storm.
We're happy to have been able to welcome you for your holiday stay. Snow conditions can present some interesting challenges as you experienced with the outage. Unfortunately, this also happens with our office equipment, not just private homes. Every home on our program offers a notebook that includes a variety of information in order to help guests. Trash locations in the valley is only but one of the documents included within the book. Additionally, during office hours, our staff is always happy to help answer any questions that may arise. We will be following up with the field crew on the utensil found unclean.
We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you to Big Bear on a subsequent trip.
Thank you for sharing.....
