About Margaret Sue Masters
Hello, I am Margaret Sue Masters and I along with my husband, Michael Masters, known as "The Colonel", have bought and restored the Bourbon Cottage in 2015. We have been in the hospitality business for over 20 years in Bardstown. We have revived and restored 4 cottages for vacation rentals in the historic district of downtown Bardstown. In 2004 we bought and restored the Chapeze House, circa 1787, downtown off the court square. In 2010 we converted this property into the Kentucky Bourbon House, a Boutique Hotel wtih charming private suites. We also conduct in the Bourbon Bar 2 classes: Bourbon University and Bourbon Mixology twice daily Mon-Sat. We also host intimate wedding ceremonies and elopement packages. Couples can choose to marry in the elegant parlor or in the formal garden that makes up the backyard. Come and experience our "Hospitality Kentucky Style"......

Why Margaret Sue Masters chose Bardstown
I have loved this cottage and property it sits on for over 25 years. When it finally came on the market I jumped at the chance to own and restore it back to its GLORY! Flaget Avenue is one of Bardstown's premier addresses right in the heart of downtown Historic Bardstown. Sit on the porch and take in all the sites , sounds and smells (Hadorn's Bakery being next door!) that makes Bardstown truly a magical place to visit.
What makes this Cottage unique
Bardstown is a busy little town! Our downtown has limited parking, however, Bourbon Cottage answers that parking deliemma. It's downtown close to all the attractions, restaurants, bars and nightlife, but the great thing about this cottage is you can walk and never move your car from the driveway. You are right in the thick of it all but with no parking hassles!!!

Beautiful Cottage in Historic Bardstown
Lovely restored home, perfect for couples or a small family. Excellent location, next door to a fabulous bakery, and within walking distance of numerous downtown restaurants and historic homes. Highly recommend!
On the Trail
Great place to stay if you are visiting the Bourbon Trail. Easy walk to downtown Bardstown with the restaurants and bars. Very driveable from here to many spots on the Trail, or use one of the transport services. Go visit David and Steven at the Blind Pig Speakeasy for great drinks. Property was just what we needed on our visit.
Had a wonderful time staying at the cottage. It was decorated with antiques and felt a home away from home, we were sad to leave. Even the neighbors were friendly offered suggestions on where to go for dinner/ drinks.
Great location and charming house. Also be sure to visit the bakery but get there early or they will be sold out. There were four friends and we had plenty of room. Would highly recommend this house.
Great Location in Bardstown
Great Victorian house near everything. Really nicely furnished and a super alternative to staying in a hotel. Owner is fabulous and made our stay very enjoyable. I recommend this property highly and would definitely do it again when in the Bardstown area.
We loved the Bourbon Cottage!
This was our first time to Bardstown and we enjoyed our entire weekend. The cottage is neat, clean, and beautifully designed. It's close to everything! We would definitely stay at the Bourbon Cottage again and encourage others to stay as well.
