A beautiful cabin! Well maintained and had everything we needed for our winter trip. We felt so at home , had so much fun spending time in the cozy living-room, playing in the games-room, cooking in the kitchen, dipping in the jacuzzi, and just hanging out! Lovely bed and bathroom accommodations! An awesome hideaway, literally, and so close to Yosemite! We had a great time at Yosemite during this winter trip, our first time to Yosemite in winter. What a great experience! Thank you Hite's Hideaway!
Great location for 3 couples looking for a Yosemite weekend getaway. Only a short drive to the main trailheads. House was very clean and had great common spaces. Very comfortable stay and we look forward to coming back!
Hite's hideout was a great place to stay close to Yosemite. It is only about 1/2 hour away from the middle of the action. The hill to get to the house is steep so in the rain you might need all wheel drive. The game room was fantastic for the kids as well as the parents. Rooms were clean and comfy. Kitchen was basically stocked with what you would need to make dinners and such. There is coffee, salt, pepper and oil there. No sugar but splenda was available. There were some sugar ants in the kitchen so maybe that is why there was not sugar. The porch was amazing as well as the hot tub. They provide robes and big towels. There are plenty of towels for everyone.
The only issues I saw were the rugs need to be replaced. There are lots of stains on it and the area rugs that they put on top are starting to roll. My parents are older and I was worried that they would trip on the area rugs buckling. Other than that great place and we will be back in the spring if it is available.
Took the family on a long weekend getaway to Yosemite for their first time there. With the five us us being grown adults, we felt that a spacious home would be better than a cramped hotel or tent. Glad we chose the the house. The house was very well cared for and had all of the amenities you would need for a pleasurable experience. Very nice and quiet location well away from the road. Definately would go back and recommend to a friend.
This is a nice rustic home, situated about 20-30 minutes from Yosemite Valley. The house is up on a hill, and has a very nice secluded feel. The family room is very open, with two pull out couches to accommodate your guests. They have great options for entertainment, with cable, pandora, wifi and plenty of dvds and games. We also spent a lot of time out on the back deck, as it is very spacious with a nice seating area and a gas grill.
We used the hot tub a couple of times - which is also a nice option and off the 2nd bedroom glass window.
The master bedroom is quite spacious, with a nice soaking tub and separate shower. This room is the most quiet and worked well for our guests with small kids. The second bedroom is also spacious, with an attached bathroom. The third bedroom is the smallest, but still quaint. All three rooms have their own tv and cable.
We didn't use the game room that much, but it was a fun add to have the pinball and foosball games.
The kitchen is nice, although I don't love electric stoves, it was good for cooking and hosting. There are plenty of plates, wine glasses and other cooking items at the rental.
Most of us didn't have cell service, but with wifi were able to use iMessage.
We did have a couple of minor things come up, and the owner was very responsive and friendly.
If you are looking for a good spot to stay and do day trips to Yosemite, this is a great option.
We loved our stay here. Nice property with good amenities. Loved the big patio behind kitchen.
Much better in person than seen in pictures :) . Please add more pics
Will surely try for this place on our next trip as well..
