About Heather Nierman

Hello! My name is Heather. I live in rural MN part time as well as Daytona Beach part time. This past year we decided to open up our favorite vacation home to others besides family and friends. We would love all to enjoy this place as much as we do! Hope to talk to you soon about staying in beautiful Daytona Beach!

Heather Nierman purchased this house in 2014

Why Heather Nierman chose Daytona Beach

This property is private! Enjoy an entire house to yourself. Sorry no parties!

Full kitchen amenities and near everything in Daytona that it has to offer. Clean and updated throughout, the home is beautiful! There is a train a couple blocks behind house.. It does come through fast and is loud but is gone within minutes! It does come through once at night but doesn't bother us. If a late night train at night bothers you once a night, this is not the place for you.. Thanks

What makes this house unique

Open floor plan awaits you after the long days spent on the World's Most Famous Beach. Wether you love the Ocean, Nascar, Bike week, or just a home away from home, this is your place to stay! We also offer 4 bicycles for your use while here as well as boogie boards for your ocean fun! Private backyard with laundry facilities available. The yard is fenced and we do allow well behaved dogs with extra deposit.

Pleasant, cozy home in convenient location

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed this home for a week, and our dogs enjoyed the back yard. The kitchen was fully stocked, with up-to-date very nice appliances. The decorating scheme was pleasant, with new tile and comfortable couches. It is an older home with limited electrical outlets, so bring extension cords for your electronics. The wi-if worked flawlessly (ours was a working vacation). The only downside is the location — not near the beach, and in an industrial/mid- to low-income area. But we never felt unsafe, and the neighbors that we encountered were very pleasant. Also, we weren’t paying for a beach area. It was convenient to everywhere that we needed to go, and an excellent value for the money.

Basic Rental

  • 3 of 5

We stayed here for a couple of days on our way back home from Mississippi. We needed a place that accepted dogs and found this rental at the last minute. The reviews sounded good but we found that it was just okay and not as described. This is the first time in a long time that we have not had a good vrbo experience. When we entered the property, the home smelled like someone had been smoking and that a lot of air freshener had been used to mask the smell. We also noticed that the couch smelled as well as the pillows on the couch. Luckily, there were a lot of candles so that did help as well as keeping the door open to the back yard. The backyard was fenced in but it looked like previous renters did not pick up after their pets. I made sure to clean up after my dog but was not going to pick up anyone else's. On the plus side, the back area was nice for sitting out and we did so each day when we returned. Our daughter had to sleep on the futon and the sheets that were in the closet had stains on them so we had to use some towels for the bedding. I also noticed on the last day when we stripped the beds that there was an old stained mattress cover on one of the beds and there were no pillow case covers at all. We used to own rental property so always made sure to use hypoallergenic covers for pillows and mattresses. We also washed comforters and throw pillows, etc., regularly. The bedding and mattresses were old and worn out, not what should be in a rental on vrbo. The ice maker/water dispenser did not work on the fridge but we did not find any ice cube trays that could be used to make ice. Having just come from a rental that cost the same amount of money, this was not close to the same standard at all.The previous comments about the train were spot on (not a big deal to us) but should be noted in the rental description. The neighborhood was working class but I could see why a previous renter was concerned. We kept the alarm code on at night and whenever we left. We actually almost left a day early but by the time we discussed doing so, it was too late to leave. We ended up just getting up very early the next morning. If you want a basic, no frills rental close to Daytona that accepts pets, then this will work just fine. The owner was responsive and was readily available when we had questions about the alarm system.

Owner's Response: I'm sorry you did not enjoy our property and it was not up to your standards ma'am. I will look into your suggestions but I have this home listed on many sites. The person before you gave it a 10+ rating. I also have 5 stars on many rental sites for this property. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Many people have enjoyed this property on numerous occasions and never have I had such a review like this. I actually found it spiteful. I'm sorry you were hard to please. I was just in the home cleaning it after your stay and smelled no smoke or odors, there were no stained sheets, and found two poops in the yard I picked up. Good luck in your endeavors.
