Cozy Hideaway is a stunningly beautiful Douglas Lakefront Home. The private vacation home sits atop a gorgeous hillside and overlooks the lake with long range mountain views. It is positioned within a short walking distance to the waters edge where a private paved drive with convenient personal boat launch and dock awaits your use. Enjoy the use of your kayaks and other lake toys you bring or rent in your private lake cove. Bring your own boat and save on marina launch and dock fees.

The open floor plan of the home begins on the main level with two bedrooms, one bathroom, and vaulted ceilings leading into the open kitchen, dining, and living room space. A masterful stone fireplace encompasses the living room while a wall of windows allows for breathtaking views of the lake in any area of the main floor. The two bedrooms are furnished with queen size beds as well as a set of bunk beds.

On the lower floor enjoy the family room with pool table and big screen TV. Relax in the 6 person hottub overlooking the lake. The family room contains a sleeper sofa and two roll away beds. You will also find one king and one queen bedroom as well as full bathroom and separate wash room containing washer and dryer. Why Brooke Chester chose Sevierville

We fell in love with Cozy Hideaway the minute we pulled in the driveway. As we watched the sun set over the main channel of beautiful Douglas Lake we knew we were home. We feel blessed to live in East Tennessee and have been drawn to the many lakes in our area as we love being on the water. We feel that Cozy Hideaway combines the amazing beauty of a spectacular East Tennessee lake with the infamous Smokey Mountains that we feel are second to none. We hope you can simply sit back and enjoy the peaceful serenity that Cozy Hideaway offers.

What makes this cabin unique

Gorgeous lake frontage. Sailing directly out of your private cove offers you immediate breathtaking views of Mt Laconte from any point on the lake from the location of this lake home on Douglas. *Douglas Lake does drop in the Fall and Winter Months ---our property allows fisherman and boaters acces to launch their boats and store trailers on a private point with water access all year. Guestbook comments from the owner

Beautiful Home away from Home - We loved our stay at this beautiful lake house, best one I’ve been to in Tennessee! There was more than enough room for all 12 family members. The kids could play downstairs, while the adults mingled upstairs. Extremely clean, huge kitchen with all the amenities one could ask for, hot tub with gorgeous views, we will definitely be going back time and time again!

Excellent Vacation Home for All Ages!

  • 5 of 5

This cabin has nearly everything you need. There were several items we did not anticipate or do not usually have in condos/cabins. The view was amazing. Being able to enjoy the wonders of God was such a blessing to our family. Great space and layout. The cabin was simply beautiful. The design details made this cabin stand out above any we have visited. There were towels, cleaning supplies, fully supplied kitchen, grill, blankets, toys, games, lake supplies including life jackets and so much more. We comfortably slept 8 adults, 2 teenagers, and 3- 10 or under. We even had room for more. The hot tub is large and the pool table was great. It honestly took more like 30 minutes to get to "town" for stores such as Kroger, Walmart, outlets, etc. The road is very crooked so you must go slower. This is not bad at all though if you are there for the cabin and the stay rather than shopping. We went out once each day for a meal (tons of options), to shop, or to just sightsee. Amazing owners are very easy to work with. Best cabin we have ever stayed in. Loved it!

Wish we could have written a longer review. Note: May 29 owner reviewed his own property!?!

We expected a quality rental given the cost. The amenities are not HGTV-worthy, as touted. Upon arrival, bathrooms smelled of urine & the kitchen sink was slow to drain. The sink drainage grew worse. Maintenance workers came out Tuesday afternoon, Wednesday AM & PM,unable to clear the drain. Maintenance told us this was an issue for previous renters that they hadn’t been able to fully fix. On Thursday, the main floor was occupied by the plumbing crew & equipment for much of the day. The owner was apologetic & tried to resolve the issue,he offered to have a cleaning person wash dishes & stayed after the plumbing crew left to wash dishes. What left us more disconcerted than not having a functional kitchen for ~3 days was his insistence that “these things happen”while not owning responsibility for knowing that this was an existing plumbing issue that happened to worsen during our stay.

Other items that are not HGTV quality:$ store quality silverware, 10 forks; $ store quality Coffee maker/toasters;Toilet in 1 bathroom not secured, wobbled with use; sheets were thin some w/holes; Not enough towels, many old & thin; 6 washcloths & 3 dish towels in entire house; Kitchen pans were rusted/Teflon scratched off; Cooking utensils were broken or melted; Paddleboard fills with water. Listing advertises 2 kayaks, there's only 1. A February review notes problems w/downstairs bed; owner says they will address it. Bed is unchanged. Light in a bedroom didn’t work. The owner blamed the bathroom smell on us peeing on the floor, the plumber informed him that liquid on the floor was because the toilet was not properly bolted down. Cleaning the toilets did not fix the smell. The hot tub didn’t work. Owner accused us of unplugging the fuse at the main electrical box, informing us that his maid assured him she left it powered. The lift that opens the cover was broken with sharp pipe ends exposed. Note the change in reviews since we booked in August ‘17. Most were 5 star, but recent reviews are less positive.

For the inconvenience of not having a functional kitchen for nearly 3 days the owner refunded 1 night’s stay plus cleaning fee. He went shopping when informed of the issues above, returning with some new pans, forks, towels& utensils. He put air fresheners in the bathroom, which made a flowery urine smell. He stated he was hesitant to provide a refund because he expected us to write a bad review. We would stay on this lake again but we do not recommend this house.

Relaxing in the Beauty of Tennessee

  • 5 of 5

We arrived June 8th, 2018 and left the 15th. We drove 12 hours from Iowa with our boat. This was a family vacation with my children, their spouses and my parents. We loved having our own dock and onsite spot to put the boat in. Douglas Lake is beautiful with plenty of marina's, restaurants, jet ski rentals and anything you need. We have rented from VBRO before. This one truely had everything you needed. The kitchen was fully stocked, towels, etc. The house was clean and the house stayed cool with the heat. There was plenty of room that we were not crowded. The road to it is windy but I expect that in Tennessee. The views were wonderful. It was close to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. We plan on going back. I highly recommend this home.

Fantastic home!

  • 5 of 5

My family stayed in this beautiful lake home and we had a wonderful experience! The views off of the back deck are beautiful. The home is in a very private setting which was very peaceful and relaxing for my family. The home is fairly close in proximity to all of the surrounding attractions, but we enjoyed spending our time just relaxing and being on the beautiful lake overlooking the mountains. The home has everything you would need and more, the owners have even thought to have toys, games, and movies for the kids. It was so nice to celebrate the end of the school year for our kids, and kick off summer by staying in this lovely home with such an amazing atmosphere. The owners were great and very accommodating. I would highly recommend this home to anyone looking to vacation in the area!!! We will definitely be back again.

Wonderful Vacation Spot

  • 4 of 5

We loved everything with the exception of the hill from the house to the lake. That walk was a little rough for those of us over 50. Luckily you can drive down to the water if needed.
