Located just off Hamilton Ave near Gonzaga University this adorable two bed, one bath home is the perfect place to base yourself to enjoy Spokane activities.

Less then a mile - Gonzaga

2-3 miles away - Downtown -Convention Center, River Park Square, Fox Theater and Spokane Arena

10 miles away - Spokane International Airport.

About The Owner

We moved to North Idaho a few years ago and found that it was truly a special place to live. We love real estate so we decided to create vacation rentals around the area so others could share in the fun.

Awesome! particularly the very comfortable beds!!

I lived in Spokane 30 years ago and in many ways miss the town and it's environs.

We made the trip back and stayed at the Reynoso's home on the near north side.

While many consider this the older part of Spokane, it has an inherent charm one will probably

not find in any other part of Spokane.

The home, built in the 40's (we ascertained this from an inscription on the back steps) is comfortable and well kept.

The floors are hardwood which we prefer and there is plenty of room.

Our only negative is that there is only one bathroom making it a challenge for a couple at times.

It has a huge backyard and is close to restaurants, gas stations, and a short drive downtown.

It is a typical 40's bungalow and John and Erica keep it up well. (The grass is cut once a week and the yard is

large and a comfortable rest during the day.

Yes. It is dated, but that is also part of its charm.

The Reynoso's keep the bath tissue and paper towels well supplied.

Overall it's a comfy experience and that's what we look for when renting through Home Away.

Horrible

There was a big leak in the bathroom and the owner never came by. I had to beg him to send a plumber immediately and he was able to get one for the next morning, but it was horrible, the leak even went into one of the bedrooms. Mostly none of the windows would open! Bathroom has no fan or ventilation what so ever, No blender, Carpet in living room discharges thick fibers(not fun). There is a wooden hole near the table covered with a carpet, very dangerous. On the stove only two burners worked. There is wooden floor in the whole house and they have a broom. Get ready to sweep all day! Not a good landlord. Beware there is no smoke alarms. Be ready to rent with other people because they rent upstairs and downstairs. I had to run out of there. This rental is not homey at all. The chairs for the dinning table are so uncomfortable and wobbley. I give this home zero stars....... I truly wouldn't recommend renting this place. I will NEVER come back to this home.

Owner's Response: We have several vacation rentals in multiple states and have never had a problem guest remotely close to this one. Our first communication with this guest was due to a noise complaint from our guest staying in the upstairs unit. Around midnight the upstairs guest knocked on their door to question the noise and was told that no one spoke English, so she called us to step in. She stated the tv was blaring with kids running, screaming, and slamming doors. I then call the problem guest who spoke perfect English, to address the noise issue. Hearing voices in the background I ask how many people were in the home and was unashamedly told…8! She lied to book the property as the maximum occupancy is 5. She claimed and paid for only 2 adults. I asked her if she could please try and be respectful with the noise since she had caused this situation by lying about the number of people, and said she could not guarantee anything, its a vacation rental and she was on vacation. I then informed her I would be advising the upstairs guest to contact the police next time they violated the local ordinance which goes in to effect at 10:00pm. She then said she would reduce the noise. A leak did occur in the bathroom ceiling which was no ones fault and due to a water heater upstairs. We were informed around 6pm on Friday night and the plumber arrived the next day at 9am and stopped the leak. The home is equipped with smoke detectors, unfortunately it does not have a lie detector in which we could have avoided the drama and wear and tear of 8 people staying in our small home. The burners on the stove work fine, a vacuum is next to the washing machine. There is no hole in the floor, it is grated air return. Yes, as with many older homes some of the windows are painted shut and we have a whole house fan for circulation. The complaints in this guest’s review are inaccurate and exaggerated. She is clearly expressing her frustration from her poor decision of booking her family of 8 in home that is too small for them - 2 bedrooms and 1 bath. This home is comfy and clean with a great Gonzaga location just as all the other reviews illustrate.

Spacious home, close to everything

This is a charming, 1906 home in a quiet neighborhood. We liked the location due to the proximity to Gonzaga, our friend's home, and restaurants.

The house had all of the amenities that we needed. The rooms are large but kind of stark (everything is white) with very little decoration. The beds were comfortable, however, the windows in the bedrooms could stand to have some room-darkening shades.The white plastic mini blinds let in too much light to enable you to sleep in late. The clawfoot tub is quaint, but showering in it, not so much. Shower curtain makes for a very tight space to maneuver in.

All in all, I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a large comfortable space, away from the hustle and bustle (and construction) of downtown Spokane.

Great location, clean and spacious

In town for event in North Spokane, both downtown and North Spokane event were easily accessible. Home was very clean, kitchen is well stocked with coffee, sugar, creamer and dry goods. Plenty of dinnerware, towels, etc. Washer and dryer in basement was convenient for family. Nearby restaurants and grocery store. Owners responded quickly when I had questions. Will definitely book again.

Perfect local spot for a small family trip to Spokane.

We really enjoyed the stay in the home. The rooms were spacious, the air conditioning effective, and the kitchen loaded with amenities. It was really nice that the house had small extras most home owners lock away from guests, including throw blankets, a lint brush, quality knives, decent toiletries and towels, etc. I will say, it was loud when there was someone else renting upstairs. An early riser upstairs woke our baby our first morning there at 5am. But that's to be expected in an older home with beautiful, hardwood floors.

We enjoyed being near Gonzaga with quick jogs to the Centennial Trail and (perhaps ironically) Donut Parade. The neighborhood is a bit borderline-- every other house or so seems well-taken care of. But we always felt safe. We would stay again!

Lot's of space

A well kept and simple house provided lot's of space for my daughter's graduation from EWU. Easily able to accommodate 5 adults and still have plenty of space to visit and enjoy our time in Spokane. There were also several eateries nearby to choose from for a bite to eat out of the house.
