Beachy, contemporary, open and spacious best describes this home. It is light and airy with a full water view opening to a lagoon (much larger than a standard canal).
Completely renovated, with a gourmet kitchen complete with a 12' x 8' elegant marble island that everyone can gather around - up to 12.
The floor plan is open and spacious. The flooring is weathered looking white-washed wood, but it is porcelain tile -- throughout the house, except for the bedrooms. The kitchen is stunning with new black cabinets and beautiful veined marble with lots of “movement”.
You will enjoy the water view from most of the rooms. The Lanai is air conditioned/heated with lots of glass. Then there is the screened in patio. There is also a private patio where the propane BBQ is located. And of course there is the dock
The master bedroom is on the opposite side of the house from the 3 other bedrooms, providing a little extra privacy…the wrap around shower is not to be missed – not a single angle, all curved with no shower door.
BEDROOMS 2, 3 & 4
The other bedrooms are located on the other side of the house from the master and they share a bathroom with tub (located off the hallway).
BOATING & WATER
Bring your boat. No bridges and the dock has deep water…yes, bring your sailboat! A quick 3 miles to downtown St. Pete or a quick shot to the Gulf. Coquina Key is the best St. Pete location for boaters.
There is a sandbar just outside of my lagoon, a short paddle (as in a few hundred yards). At low-tides, it is out of the water and most times it is still walkable with knee deep water. You could swim, but I wouldn't advise it. There is a photo in my pictures.
This is a quiet neighborhood on a dead-end street. All of the homes on the street are on the water. Please have a good time, but no loud parties. If you are looking for a big party house, this is not for you.
I am a USCG certified boat captain. I have a small skippered boat charter business on the side. Google "stpetebywater". I give my guests a discounted rate.
If you haven't visited St. Pete or haven't been here recently, get ready for an experience. I have lived in some great places, San Francisco, Seattle, Denver, Scottsdale, Germany...and all-in-all this is the best city I have ever lived in. I love living in St. Pete!
I will do everything I can to make sure your stay is all you expect it to be and more! Btw, I live next door with by handsome lab Schooner...yes we are big boaters and paddleboarders. I'm happy to share my personal favorite places and will do upon booking.

I love living in Flordia. And I particularly love St. Pete. St Pete has an international feel and is exciting, beautiful and interesting. There is almost always something going on in our on our many waterfront parks. There is dining, arts, crafts...and lots of microbrewies!
One of my passions is boating. I have a boat charter business. Google "stpetebywater". If you want to include a trip, I will give you very discounted rates.
The picture is from one of our fun boating destinations (Weedon Island). My dog (Schooner) and I are taking in the sunset from the bow of Journey II.
Bring your boat. If you don't have a boat and want to explore, I have a boat charter business and I will offer you special rates. My vessel is a 30 foot Searay cabin and a large bimini for shade. Elegant and lots of fun.
A kayak is available for your enjoyment.
Quick access to downtown St. Pete or the Gulf beaches.
For the boater, this is excellent choice.
You will love the house light and airy with a European feel. Newly remodeled with a gourmet kitchen and huge marble island.
Mark's house was great for the getaway my friends and I planned. We loved having our own rooms (!) and being close to downtown St. Pete. The lanai and Florida rooms were of course our favorite spots. The wireless speaker was a nice touch.
This was a great experience for me and my group. This was my first time renting private property and everything was awesome. The house is very true to the pictures that are on the site, it is very clean and well maintained. The owner, who lives next door is very pleasant and helpful. We had a slight hiccup on the first night (no fault of the property or owner) and it was immediately taken care of with a smile very early the next day. The gourmet kitchen is a dream kitchen that is well stocked with pots, pans and other utensils. We were on a girls trip with 7 in attendance and there was enough space for all of us to be comfortable and spread out. Aside from the beautiful kitchen there is plenty of space for lounging and relaxing with a very appealing view of the water from either one of the screened/glassed in areas at the back of the house. The house is about 5 miles from the St. Pete beach where we went and had a great time, the sunset was beautiful. It is also close to downtown restaurants and attractions or if you want to travel a little further there are a lot of attractions in Clearwater. I would and have recommended this property to several people and after they see the pictures they are in love with it. We are all looking forward to booking again next year for a longer stay as we only had 3 days to get everything in. Thanks Mark, you rock!
My family of 7 rented this house in St.Pete....owner Mark lives right next door. He was very welcoming for us and if we had any questions was available to answer for us! We brought our own boat which was really easy to put in at a dock just around the corner from the house, his dock set up perfectly for what we needed.
We didn't go anywhere but if you wanted to it's very centrally located to anything you want to do. The neighborhood we were in was very quiet and all the neighbors on the canal were friendly to say Hi and wave as we boated by.
We really enjoyed being able to cook our own meals, then hop back on the boat for a night tour. I would highly suggest this location if you have your own boat and even if you don't (Mark does tours too)!
It's definitely something we will be making an annual trip for us! Thanks Mark, it was a pleasure meeting you and using your rental house. See ya next year!
We stayed here while attending a work conference. The house was very neat and comfortable. The house is located close to downtown St. Petersburg as well as St. Pete's Beach. Find time to visit Pass-a-grille and ring the bell at sunset. Would highly recommend staying in this home.
My colleagues and I attended a conference held on St. Pete's Beach and stayed here - we enjoyed every moment! The house was clean, modern, and had stunning views overlooking the water. We enjoyed having the BBQ to grill at night and having a screened in porch to eat/relax was wonderful. The neighborhood was quiet and peaceful. There was plenty of room for the five of us! Mark was fantastic too - very responsive and promptly answered all of our questions. Highly, highly recommended and would definitely like to come back!
The home was very well appointed and comfortable. We had 7 adults in the home. This was my first time using a Home Away, VRBO or Air B & B sight and I learned alot. Our home owner lived next door and was very nice. Light and airy. We enjoyed sitting on the porch in the morning and at night when temps were perfect. Loved the breakfast bar, big and roomy. Actuallly you could seat comforably, 14 for meals including the breakfast bar, dinning room table and small patio table outside, although we never did need to do so.
Things I overlooked. NO washer and dryer and towel racks for wet towels. Home owner suggested we hang towels over doors. No thanks. The dishwasher was broken. Hope that gets fixed. The ice maker and water dispenser in fridge, not in working order. The kayak was "broken" as well. Given those negatives, we had a great time together as a family. We were usually out and about with family, so the positives outweighed the negatives.
Location was good and convenient to local attractions.
Spent a long weekend in Tampa/SP to catch some Red Sox games. Other than watching David Ortiz hit his 500th home run, this house was the highlight of the weekend. The bright, clean, and open house was a welcomed place to land after many day and night trips exploring the local scenery. Would highly recommend this house to anybody spending time in the Tampa/SP area.

I live in the house next door. I really like this area. I will be glad to point out the local places and fun things to do.
For boating, it is an excellent choice. Bring your powerboat or sailboat. 10 minute run by powerboat to downtown St Pete and also a short trip to the Gulf.
Downtown St. Pete is terrific, there is almost always something going on. If there is not a festival, that's okay too...strolling the waterfront parks, museums (check out the Dali for sure), loads of restaurants...St Pete has a very European feel.
The house is on a wide lagoon, larger than typical canals. The open bay is just 3 houses down:
A kayak is always available. If you wish to rent more kayaks, paddleboards, jet skis, etc., I will be glad to connect you.
Just outside of my lagoon is a sandbar. You could swim there, but I would recommend some type of watercraft. At low tide it is exposed and high tide usually it is no more than knee deep. Probably 1/2 mile long, it is great for walking and hanging out.
Also, I am a US Coast Guard certified Captain and have a boat for charter. I always skipper the boat. I'm very flexible on trips...ranging from full day to a few hours for a sunset cruise. The website is www.stpetebywater.com. Let me know if you would like to know some options.
