GREETINGS: Thank you for viewing our apartment. If you are seeking accommodations for a visit to Shands Hospital, a football game, UF graduation or a special event, this is a perfect place for you and your family or friend. There is lots to do in this area from sports, nature attractions, theater and arts to name a few.

This apartment is beautifully furnished with a large 55 inch smart TV in living room. A large front window gives a picture of trees and green space with a large oak tree dominating the view just outside your front window. Each of the two bedrooms will have newly cleaned linens and a lovely comforter with 4 pillows on each bed. The kitchen is fully equipped with dishwasher, large electric store, 18 CF refrigerator, over the stove microwave, all dishes for serving and cooking. A coffee maker and blender are also included in kitchen supplies.

PREMISES: This apartment is a downstairs unit in a large quadraplex located in a rental residential section of the city. It is approximately 1.5 miles from downtown Gainesville and 2 miles from UF. Centrally located with lots of green space and trees is the best way to describe this property. The building, one of two side by side, are old but the interiors are completely renovated.

PARKING, BUSLINES, THINGS TO DO IN GAINESVILLE: Bus line to locations downtown and shopping malls. Restaurants nearby on Archer Road, Newberry Road, and shopping malls. Easily accessible from US 75 and Highway 441. A guide to restaurants and things to do in Gainesville will be mailed upon receipt of reservation. There is a lot to see and do in this area -- just about anything except snow related.

This property is great for a person or couple needing quiet and privacy with all the amenities and convenient access to the major attractions in Gainesville. It is 2.5 miles to UF and Shands Hospital and about 1 mile to downtown Gainesville for restaurants and entertainment. This is a downstairs apartment in a quadraplex in a quiet neighborhood. There are two bedrooms with queen beds and spacious closets. The kitchen has builtin microwave, dishwasher and electric stove. A washer and dryer are adjacent in the utility room. The living room has a beautiful view of the outside and a 55 inch TV with Wifi internet connection. There is parking on a bed of gravel rocks so no dirt and mud gets in your car. There is a maximum of privacy and quiet not typically found in apartments. Neighbors are stable and some have lived here for over 35 years. This is not a party area and noise outside your own environment is rare. The landlords own and operate the property and are easily accessible by phone and email. If you need quiet, access, and privacy at a very reasonable price, this is a great place.

About Elizabeth Bolton

We are Jim Post and Elizabeth Bolton and we have owned this property and others in the neighborhood for about 30 years. It is in just the last two years since Elizabeth retired that we decided to furnish some of our rentals for visitors looking for short term accommodations. Jim is a retired electrical engineer and Elizabeth is a retired University of Florida professor and together we provide stability and competence that makes a good landlord team with hands on management of every operation. Jim and Elizabeth are long time Gainesville residents and we love to meet visitors coming to Gainesville for study, health care or football. Gainesville has it all and we love providing lodging for you while you enjoy it. I believe Gainesville is absolutely the best place in Florida to live, learn and enjoy life. The community is vibrant and the student population keeps us young at heart. We strive to meet the needs of our rental residents both short and long term. Our goal is to provide you with lodging that will make your stay comfortable and satisfying so that when you return to the area you will want to stay with us. Our philosophy is that we will only rent to you a place we would personally live in.

Why Elizabeth Bolton chose Gainesville

This property was built in the mid 1970's and is about as solid as the rock of Gibralter with terrazzo floors and steel studs between floors. It is in a quiet neighborhood away from noise and traffic but near the major attractions in the area. There have only been two owners, the original builder and the current owners, Jim and Elizabeth. Jim played bridge with the original owner and told her when she sold it to call him. She did and we have enjoyed fixing it up and now we are converting two of the apartments to furnished rentals. It is a satisfying property to work on and to own because the neighborhood and the neighbors are great.

This property is the epitome of location preference for visitors desiring quiet, privacy and lots of trees and greenery. It is centrally located between UF and downtown Gainesville and has great access to shopping malls. This apartment is perfect for Shands visitors, football and graduation weekends, conference participants, visiting scholars, students and parents who are looking for home style comforts with superb accommodations at reasonable prices. Our apartments are on first floor to allow easy access. We call these the Dorothy Apartments because they were built by our friend Dorothy, from whom we bought them when she retired

What makes this apartment unique

These apartments are centrally located to be near the University of Florida and downtown Gainesville. It is a quiet area with spacious lawns on all four sides and blooming azaleas in the spring. Tall pines and a park like setting is what makes this property different from other rental properties in Gainesville.

Travelers will enjoy the quiet of the neighborhood and the proximity to UF, Shands and restaurants in downtown Gainesville. Most of all travelers can feel safe and secure.

In the heart of beautiful Central Florida, close to downtown Gainesville, major highways - US 75 and 441, UF and Santa Fe College, museums, live theatre, restaurants, wildlife preserves and natural resource areas. There is something interesting, educational, entertaining for every season here in North Central Florida and Gainesville has a major share of the attractions for every season. Further you can call the landlord directly and we will strive to respond to your request at soon as possible. Our rental interests are limited to select properties and we strive to give personal attention to the property and the guests when requested.

As a traveler, I spend a lot of time in short-term rentals -- from apartments and condos to extended stay hotels. This condo is at the top of my list of places to stay (and will be my preferred "return-to" in the future).

I spent 13 weeks in this particular rental. There was every conceivable convenience I could imagine provided. No point in me listing things. If you needed something, it was there! The neighborhood is older and quaint. A mixture of young families and older retired, permanent residents.The furnishings were in very good condition -- some things brand new. The unit is close to major thoroughfares, shopping centers, schools, downtown area and restaurants. There is easy parking right in front of the condo. And, pet friendly!!

The owner is down to earth, intelligent and easy to talk to. She was always available by phone, text or email to answer questions (at any time) or make provisions for anything I might need.

This is definitely a 'gem' and I wholly endorse it for anyone wanting that little 'extra' in a short-term rental.

Quiet neighborhood

Very clean apartment in older neighborhood. Small bathroom with very small sink area and only one plug outlet that was hard to use. No place for cosmetic items and to put your makeup on. Kitchen did not have enough cooking or baking utensils. Had to buy measuring spoons and other items. Didn't even have a strainer for spaghetti. Nice laundry room.

These springs are found in and around Gainesville and surrounding towns and counties. Take a dip and feel a cool that will stay with you for a long time and a memory that will make you want to come back again and again. For those that prefer less chilling experiences, take in the Museum of Natural History on the University of Florida campus and see the famous butterfly garden and other artifacts unique to Florida. The Samuel Harn Museum of Art is right next to the Natural History Museum and the exhibits change frequently to bring world class exhibits to Gainesville. For live entertainment there.is the Hippodrome Theater in downtown Gainesville and the Phillips Center for Performing Arts on the UF Campus. For nature lovers there is Paynes Prairie State Wildlife Preserve and the Devil's Millhopper sink hole. Lots to see and do in our area.
