Clean, artsy, brightly lit house, sleeps 6 on a quiet street in trendy EP.

Find yourself at home in this traditional California craftsman house. Decorated with designer customized furniture and details, your stay will feel like an artistic cozy retreat with all the necessary modern amenities.

Located in a quiet residential area, choose to live in peace or walk to all of Echo Park's hippest hangouts. Better yet make this your east side hub. We are close to the 2, 10, 5, 110, 101, 134 highways, downtown, Dodger Stadium, Pasadena, SGV, and Hollywood are all a skip away.

This beautifully renovated, 1000 square foot home features 2 bedrooms and 2 baths. There is a 3rd (media) room that contains a flat screen TV but can also be used as a small extra bedroom.

The front yard is landscaped with fruit trees including a giant avocado tree that shades the front porch but allows plenty of sunlight into the house and grape plants which drape the back porch.

House includes: 2 queen beds, 1 Queen futon bed, 1 Queen pullout bed which rests on the floor. 3 private rooms which can sleep 6. Pack-n-play for toddler. We allot up to 6 adults.

There is a shared backyard patio with the tenant who lives behind this house for outdoor dining. The property contains 2 separate homes. The onsite laundry facilities are shared with the back tenant but is easily accessible through the back kitchen door.

We are family friendly, non smoking, use eco friendly and child safe products. We keep this house very clean and ask you do the same. If you need items for kids, ask us, it's likely we can provide.

Please note: Due to the location of the house in the hills, cell phone service can be spotty. There is wifi and a landline but (lack of) cell coverage has to do with your carrier.

This property belongs to my wife and I. I grew up living in old craftsman homes and personally renovated this craftsman and tried to maintain its original character and details. We've lived in Echo Park for over 14 years, we love this neighborhood, know many of our neighbors and business owners and we do our best to support this community.

What makes this house unique

The house sits atop the main residential street in Echo Park. You are just far enough away from the din of Sunset Ave, but close enough to be part of the action. It's centrally located for getting around Los Angeles towards Hollywood, downtown and east towards Pasadena and SGV. Downtown boasts some of the best culinary spots in the city and if you need to get to the westside, you're just 5 minutes from the 10 freeway.

The house is welcoming and relaxing, very clean, full of light and the porch is a place to prop up your feet. It is quintessential Los Angeles.

LA is an incredibly diverse place made up of small neighborhoods and it helps to have someone guide you through all of the possibilities and gauge what will make your stay more enjoyable. My wife and I know authentic LA pretty well now and we'd be happy to offer suggestions for your visit.

Great neighborhood place! Very cool Craftsman that has been opened up and made airy and light, lots of charming details throughout like cool window latches and singular pieces of furniture, cool art on the walls, outdoor seating and garden area that our dog especially loved. Exceptionally comfortable for our family of 4 and rambunctious dog with the kitchen well stocked with useful items including everything from colanders to chopping boards. Hosts were very accommodating and the neighborhood is lovely, filled with mature trees and very walkable to a few cafes and neighborhood markets for groceries, as well as for hikes in Elysian park, and if you don't mind taking a longer walk, accessible to many, many cool restaurants and bars on Sunset.

Perfect home from which to explore L.A.

This lovely little house was such a joy to walk into at the end of a long day of sightseeing. It is beautifully decorated, open and airy. It is located on a quiet street, but is a 5 minute drive from hip Echo park, full of restaurants, markets, and cafes. It's also not far from Hollywood, Griffith Park, and Universal Studios. Michelle, the owner, was very responsive and kind.

The kitchen is well-stocked with everything we needed: nice dishes, new coffee-maker, and even a few snacks were awaiting our arrival. It was very hot when we visited, and the A.C. worked very well and kept us all so comfortable.

We had kids with us, and they loved it too. The media room made for a perfect kids room with the couch converted to a bed. I truly can't imagine a better place to rent while visiting L.A.!

Best Stay ever!!

My husband and I came down to visit family and friends in the LA. area... the home was peaceful, quaint and charming! Very clean! It had a the comforts of home and easy excess to the freeways. Charming neighborhood.

The homeowners where accommodating and easy to working, good communication with to provide the Best stay ever. They went the extra mile to make you feel welcome! I would certainly recommend renting it again when coming back to the LA area. Thank you!

Wonderful house, quiet street, terrific neighborhood

This is a wonderful house on a quiet street in my favorite part of Los Angeles. The interior is clean and comfortable and furnished with a well-chosen mix of vintage, handmade and functional. Unlike so many rentals, this house has quality bath and bed linens and a well-stocked kitchen (knives that cut! serving dishes!). The owners provide paper towels, tissue, detergent for both clothes and dishes, and there are a few groceries so you won't starve before you have a chance to go to the store. The exterior is just as lovely, with a nicely landscaped yard and a front porch that is the perfect place for coffee in the morning and a drink after dinner. This was the perfect spot for our family of three and would easily accommodate a slightly larger group.

Charming home located in excellent proximity to tourist destinations

The drive from the airport was straightforward although with the typical afternoon LA traffic. But from the minute we opened the door, we felt welcomed and at home. Nice neighborhood with a trendy vibe. Clean and comfortable for our party of 3 but could easily accommodate more. Second bathroom was small but very functional. Great to have two bathrooms. Beds are comfortable. Home stayed cool with hot weather. Wifi was good which is great since cell service is iffy in the 'valley' formed by the street. Great walking and running in the neighborhood with Elysian Park, Echo Park lake, and silver lake all close by. Drive times to many destinations were very reasonable including dining options, Griffith Park (Hollywood sign), Dodger stadium, Universal Studios, Warner Bros studio, downtown LA, Chinatown, and the zoo. Good access to Santa Monica and the Getty Center although they are a bit farther. Absolutely wonderful stay. Great base for exploring LA. The hosts, Matthew and Michelle, were responsive, helpful, and friendly. Top notch service. Really felt they were committed to us having a good stay. Thank you so much. Book this place. You will not be disappointed.

Echo Park has been named one of the best neighborhoods in America (NYT). You will find an eclectic mix of new and old, mom and pop shops, hipsters and non. The house is on the main street of Echo Park which leads you to Fix Coffee, Valerie's, Dinette, Ostrich Farm, Echo Park Lake, the Echo club, where you'll find the best up and coming bands/artists, and much much more. This ever changing neighborhood has its own personality of class, funk and street. Explore the walkable area which houses a weekly (Friday) farmer's market, Lassens - a full service organic supermarket, Cookbook (our local farm fresh grocer), vintage shops, taco stands, charming little boutiques or fiind easy access to downtown LA, Silverlake, Chinatown, Eagle Rock, Highland Park or Pasadena. You are at the center of the east side, an authentic and distinct part of LA.
