It is licensed and approved by the Malta Tourism Authority and is available for short term rent throughout the year. It is a comfortable residence boasting traditional patterned floors, wooden beams, high ceilings and many other rustic features. It offers all the mod cons necessary to comfortable living today. The house has stunning sea views of the bay. It consists of entrance hall, sitting/ dining room, kitchen/breakfast room, four bedrooms, bathroom, shower & toilet downstairs, garden, patio with barbeque area which is ideal for relaxing on a hot summer's day. Although it is situated in the village core it enjoys stunning sea views and is in a quiet area, yet it is well located within walking distance of the sea, sandy beaches, bus stops, shops, restaurants, banks and the popular resort of Qawra.
The following is a review from clients who have spent a holiday in the house, and it gives a more detailed description of the house :
' This was our 1st time booking accom online so had certain qualms - but they proved to be totally unfounded. The house was exactly as stated on website infact if anything information didn't do it justice. This house is special as is Carmen who is a mine of information I really don't think there's anything she doesn't know - a truly lovely lady. The house was lovely and clean and has absolutely everything you could need even down to books and jigsaws and even more amazing kitchen knives that were lovely and sharp! It is situated about 2mins away from the seafront and the local beach which we found a real bonus after a day of being out and about to come home park up then walk down for an evening swim. A few doors up from the house is what Carmen calls a minute market (rather than mini market) it has all the basics and a few surpises too. Up the top of the road are the main shops (5/10 Mins walk) with some really wonderful fresh fish shops and everything else you could need (fresh bread from the bakers - a definite must) all with the added bonus that it's downhill on the return journey. This house is a true haven - such a refreshing change from soul less apartments, etc with character oozing out of it. It is extremely spacious so if a large group were there there is plently of living space as well as bedrooms. The main bedroom (sea facing) is huge and has a wonderful sea view - extremely tranquil in the evening watching the sun set. Carmen's beautifully tended garden is a real treasure - where we did most of our living. It is shaded, plenty of tables and chairs and very private. The plants are so well tended, colourful and pretty a real tribute to Carmen's careful nurturing any garden lover will recognise a kindred spirit. One last thing - the staircase - strange thing I know but it is so elegant and sweeping - holiday clothes didn't do it justice!~ This property is more than a house it really is a little part of Malta. Congratulations Carmen with your house and your welcome you will never be without bookings. Definitely going to return again and again' (Stuart and Judy, Co.Cork,Ireland)
Scuba Diving: The Maltese Islands are a real paradise for divers and snorklers, as an all-year-round centre! The minimum sea temperature never drops below 14 degrees celcius. The climate and duration of sunshine during the winter months are similar to an average North European summer. The islands offer excellent infrastructure for divers representing a very high standard offering services to the most sophisticated demands. Malta. Gozo and Comino boast a vast range of diving both from shore or by boat. The excellent under water visibility, the unique topographic structure of its underwater landscape, and the healthy flora and fauna, qualify the islands as the ideal place for this wonderful sport. One can also find an abundance of caves, holes, grottos and crevices. The islands also boast a vast variety of wrecks, ranging from the First World War to specifically scuttled wrecks.

We stayed in the house for two weeks and it was a fantastic holiday indeed! The house and the garden are really beautiful and you have everything you need. We were even a bit surprised because of the very comfortable mattresses, you usually don't find them in hotels or holiday homes. Carmen and Josephine are very welcoming and helpful with anything one could need. Everything is nearby: the beach, a minimarket, a bigger supermarket, restaurants, pubs, the busstation etc.
The transfer from and back to the airport worked perfectly.
The house is located at a perfect spot. Near the sea but nice and quiet. And it's only a 10 minutes walk to Buggiba, were most of the restaurants and bars are. When you walk to Buggiba along the sea, look left and up. There ist a little restaurant up the hill in the bend after the Gillieru hotel. It is calles Don Vito and is definetely worth a visit. They have the best stuffed bread we found on the island! And you have breathtaking view over the little harbour.
We hope to be able to come back soon and wish everyone a fantastic summer!
We enjoyed a lovely 9-day stay in this charming house of character. It is exactly what it promised to be. Location is excellent, well-communicated and with a view to the bay from the beautiful master bed-room- which is really a queensize bedroom- a place not only to sleep but to enjoy and just be. The backyard garden, even in winter, was charming and welcoming.
We definitely and highly recommend this property to visitors of Malta- who will also feel welcomed and supported in all their needs by Carmen-the owner of this property.
We will definitely be back!
We had a fabulous week in this lovely old house. The owner looked after us brilliantly, meeting us at the property, leaving supplies to get us started and even leaving us some home baked pasties which were fabulous. The house was extremely clean and the location is stunning with a great garden out the back with vines, figs and lemons. The view out of the front window and balcony is fantastic. The weather did change later in the week though and a cold northerly wind made the house a bit cool. However, the blankets on the bed and a heater in the bedroom before sleep time kept the icicles away.
We ate Christmas dinner at the Tarragon Restaurant over the road from the house and it was superb. Highly recommended as they provided a great meal for my partner who is Coeliac and needs a gluten free diet as wel as a great meal for me.
We would definitely book this house again on any future trips to Malta.
We stayed one month in Malta taking english classes with our three daughters and we had a wonderful time. We are very happy we rented this house, as it is located in the best part of St-Paul. Everything is accessible by bus. There is a nice grocery store two doord away where we went daily (in fact, more than daily!). Josephine is very nice and was always available for us (we were confused and arrived one day earlier and let us take the house and she sent us home the stuff we forgot in one drawer of the house). Of course, you see with the picture that it's not a modern house, but we liked that and found the house vintage and charming. We were there in april and it was a bit cold but there was heater we could use. The view from the master bedroom is really great. This house is definately a good value for the price and we fell we had an authentic experience. Thank you again Josephine for everything!
We spent a lovely ten night stay in this charming Maltese house, and I can only echo the already positive comments left by others. Josephine & Mary were lovely hosts and made us feel very welcome. Indeed, Josephine kindly awaited our late arrival (past midnight) to welcome & show us around-she was kind enough to leave a few basic provisions for us to tide us over. The house is spacious and comfortable, with lovely views from the balcony in the master bedroom. The garden was a perfect haven to relax after a busy day exploring this beautiful island. It is such a refreshing change to stay in such a property after staying in so many previous bland apartment's. We thoroughly recommend this property-perfect location in the quieter area of St Pauls bay, but in close proximity to all you will need in a holiday-local shops, bank ,restaurant's are close by. Busier Bugibba is a mere 5-10 minute walk away.
Thank you Josephine & Mary-it was a real pleasure staying at your lovely house-we will return in the near future.
My Husband and I spent 6 days in this lovely property while our son was on a school trip. The sunshine and the local people made us feel so welcome! As did Josephine and Mary our lovely hosts. They organised a taxi for us each way to and from the airport which gave us one less thing to think about. And the house is a dream for those who want a real taste of Malta. As it was just the two of us we stayed in the Master with a view of the bay.
The house is a close walk Buggiba and all it's restaurants and bars. Also close to the bus station where we managed to figure out quite easily how to get around the island.
Valletta is lovely and bustling city. The 'Silent City' is also another sight worth seeing.
But mostly what we were after was a relaxing time. And thats what we had! The Maltese people are so nice and at all times even late evening we felt perfectly safe walking around.
We hope to come back to Malta one day, with our son and we would defiantly try to book this lovely home again!
St Paul's Bay is a traditional quiet fishing village situated to the north west of the island of Malta. It is made up of some particularly beautiful, natural geological features. The locality enjoys beautiful scenery, made up of large expanses of plateau, high ridge areas overlooking steep-sided valleys, beautiful beaches and rocky promenades. It is situated 16 km away from Valletta, the capital city. It is very close to the popular summer resorts of Bugibba and Qawra where you can find numerous bars, restaurants and other entertainment venues. The best sandy beaches in Malta are only twenty minutes away, although the swimming is excellent just down the road from the house from the rocky beach. There is a good bus service to almost all localities in Malta including the main historical sites like the Hypogeum. It is also 30minutes away from the ferry that takes you to the island of Gozo.
It is situated very close to the Language Schools in St Paul's Bay.
Golf: The Golf course is situated at Marsa which is about 30 minutes by car away from St Paul's Bay.
