The aerial walkway is great fun there are two different ones at 5km in Bagard and 15km at Anduze both are great fun and can accommodate children from approximately four years of age. Adults can take advantage of the 'black run' high in the trees which represents quite a challenge.

On the way to or from you can sample the delight of the Haribo sweet museum and shop. There is a children's amusement park next to the museum.

The nearest beach is 'La Grande Motte'; 10km of gently sloping sandy beach. The beach cafes offer excellent food and you can rent sunbeds and pedals. There is municipal parking next to the dunes. About Owner: Lesley Roberts.

We have a large family and we have built and developed the house and grounds to suit and accommodate people of all ages. It is our holiday home and and like our guests to share the comforts our home provides. We regularly have three generations staying in the house simultaneously and there is so much space that it never feels crowded. It's difficult to demonstrate this in the photos....so check out the video to see the expansive nature of the house and grounds.

Owner: Lesley Roberts. purchased this house in 2000

Why Owner: Lesley Roberts. chose Anduze - Cevennes Piedmont

This is a home from home. We had a fantastic holiday staying in a friends house close by. When we saw this beautiful house set in such wonderful surroundings we were smitten and have remained so ever since. year by year adding new features to enjoy. The stone arched ceiling in the main sitting room is really beautiful.

The pool has a heating system which permits use from April until the end of October. Pool towels are provided to save packing space.

The land that surrounds the house has a complete perimeter fence.

Although the main features are shown for Summer holidays the house is really fantastic in the Winter months with the log fire and central heating it is really snug. There are lots of DVDs and books perfect for a winter retreat.

Triathletes can use the locals hills for bike training and the baby equipment makes the house perfect for families with young children to take advantage of low season rental prices.

What makes this house unique

Totally peaceful with fantastic facilities. The house is well set back from the road and the large number of fields that surround the property means that holiday makers are assured a tranquil atmosphere in which to relax. There are many different spaces created - the shade of the gazebo next to the pool or the larger tented gazebo set in the shade of the trees.

The side terrace is perfect to watch the sun set behind the mountains.

The long table on the rear terrace is perfect for meals and seats 18.

Absolutely fantastic for family get togethers.

Also perfect for adult groups to get away from it all.

Winter holidays are really cosy with the log fire and winter sunshine.

There is so much to enjoy locally from the Camargue natural park to the beach at 'La Grande Motte' whether you want to relax or explore there is something for all tastes.

A days skiing is possible at Mount Lozere. All guests feel completely relaxed after a stay here.

There is a riding school in the next village.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Dear Sophie,

It was really very pleasant to stay in your familyhouse!!!!!!

It's really a big paradise. we all loved it very much.!!!!!!!

There was enough of everything!!!!

The cleaning was very good, the caretaker was a gentleman.

We want to come back in may 2017,( if we are allowed) we will let you know as soon as possible.

We have one tip:

As it is really a fantastic house with such a large group it would be fine if we could use 2 diswashes at a time.

We wish you and your family all the best and we hope we may come back in your PARADISE!!!!

A lovely place to be

Best regards,

Owners comment- thank you for your lovely comments.

Unfortunately the size of the pipes means the plumbing system cannot accept both dishwashers being on at the same time!

This is a house for a truly relaxing holiday where all ages can find activities to suit them on site both in summer and winter. Every effort has been made to make the interior comfortable. The amount of space available both inside and out is difficult to capture in photos. Children are particularly well catered for. Wheel chair users are welcome. 2 bathrooms are at the ground floor but they do not fit disabled specifications. We would suggest wheel chair users to discuss their needs with the owners who would be happy to help. There are Lacanche and Smeg range cookers, guests who enjoy cooking will find the kitchen has everything including a food processor. Two American fridge/freezers and al large drinks fridge. The pool house is furnished with plastic glasses, etc., for pool side safety. There are sunbeds chairs and umbrellas, outdoor games, boles, football, cricket and badminton nets.Trampoline swings and slides. Log fire, videos books and indoor games for cosy winter relaxation.

seductive and secluded rustic idyll

  • 5 of 5

It is hard to imagine that such a tranquil property could exist close to the amenities that make any holiday enjoyable. This property lives up to the description provided by the owners - and also has much more to offer! There are attentive local cleaners and groundsmen who can answer most questions put to them, and the property is extremely well maintained. The ultimate question a prospective visitor could ask might be - would you return? I have for 4 years! If you go, you will see why!

A fantastic house for our party of 10 adults and 8 children

  • 5 of 5

This is a lovely place for adults and children alike. The pool was a great hit with all. And we kept discovering new things to do. So many games toys etc for all ages. All the bedrooms have a bathroom and there is plenty of indoor and outdoor dining space for our group of 18.

Just the right amount of rooms and well ordered space, thank you.

Lovely villa in a pleasant, quiet rural setting, with extensive well kept gardens, and a large pool.

  • 5 of 5

We are a large extended family of 10 adults and 9 children aged 4 to 11 years.

We have holidayed together annually in the south of France for the last 10 years

We were absolutely delighted with the villa and its facilities. The brochure description and details were accurate and the villa really clean and tidy when we arrived.

The house is simply but generously furnished and the kitchen well equipped.

The outside table seated us all comfortably and is well shaded - we never needed to use the large one indoors!

The saline pool is well designed with a shallow rim around the edge, and useful roman steps and is reassuringly in view from the house. We all loved it. There's plenty of shade from trees nearby.

The children were spoiled for choice with the large selection of outdoor activities, as well as the huge toy/games cupboard inside and selection of DVDs.

The calls of the Golden Orioles were a delight most mornings, though they are remarkably adept at hiding - brief glimpses only.

Guy was a great help and always available if needed.

The surrounding area is lovely, and much quieter than Provence. Uzes is a gem. We hardly started to explore the Cevennes.

We would love to return.

Large and lovely house in a really peaceful location

  • 5 of 5

The house was great for a large family group and the pool was really good, especially after heating had been newly installed part way through our holiday. The house was set in extensive grounds with many wild flowers and some exotic bird life. We particularly liked the open plan kitchen/dining/lounge area with dividing counter top, which was both practical and sociable for larger groups. The fridge/freezer was brand new and having two dish washers was very useful. The bedrooms we used (5 out of 8) were generally well furnished, though the pool house bedroom was lacking hanging space.

The whole ambience of the place was very peaceful and lent itself to just chilling out around the house, pool or gardens.

We did get out and about and it was great to be close to places like Nimes with its roman amphitheatre and the amazing Pont de Gard, as well as the Carmargue region for its wildlife. We would return to Mas des Gardies again if we came back to the region.

Une location à recommander

  • 5 of 5
