The property is perfectly located for any visitors coming to Rochester for medical care: Mayo's St Mary's Hospital is just across the street, while the clinic buildings are a beautiful 10 minute walk down the same street! The house also puts Rochester at your fingertips: Caribou Coffee and the Canadian Honker restaurant are conveniently located across from the house, along with other restaurants and convenience stores within a block or two. There's a 24 hr supermarket at a 2 minute drive, great shops and downtown attractions at a stone's throw, and a mall one highway exit away (with free mall shuttle service picking up across from the house).
We hope our house will help make Rochester feel like home!
Very clean and comfortable house. There was no TV, so we used our computer to watch Netflix. We would come stay again. Thanks!
This home provided just what we needed for our four night stay for four people. We loved that we each had a bed and bedroom with great linens and pillows. The home is close to Mayo and restaurants. Our homeowner provided excellent information concerning how to best utilize the features of the home. She was very personable, and although we didn't need to call her, she was willingly available anytime. We throughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend.
The house was beautiful. A TV would have been nice for some of them down time. Maya brought an iron as we were going to a wedding and needed to press some clothes. More comfortable porch furniture would have been nice. But these were only minor irritations, all in all it was a very good stay and we would stay again if we return.
We stayed for a week visiting Mayo. The house was very comfortable and we had everything we needed. The owner was very easy to work with. Very close to mayo clinic. Cool coffee shop within walking distance. Safe neighborhood. Couldn't of asked for anything more. Also, the home is nicely decorated.
The house is located one block from St Mary's Hospital and about 10 blocks from the main Mayo Clinic campus, so the location is terrific. From the outside, the house doesn't look like much, but the inside is gorgeous, with beautiful oak woodwork and dining room set, and decorated in an Italian renaissance style. The house has central forced air A/C and heat, rare for a historic house like this, and definitely appreciated during the muggy summer days. The bed in the main bedroom was comfortable, while two of the bedrooms had small twin beds that might be a little less comfortable. The only downside was a very small kitchen with a somewhat random collection of pots, pans, and utensils. We found it difficult to do any serious cooking, but if your plan is mostly takeout or very simple meals, then it would be more than sufficient. Overall we loved the house and would stay here again if we came back to the area.
My daughter and I stayed at this home for two and a half weeks while she was being treated in the PRC program on the St. Mary's campus. The home is just as described on the website. Furnishings were beautiful and the house was extremely clean. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes and having a washer and dryer was very conveniant. The screened in porch was an extra bonus for relaxing after a long day at the hospital. The property owner was extremely helpful and could be reached easily for questions/concerns. The home is located walking distance from several restaurants and a Caribou Coffee. Tonic was a favorite as well as the Canadian Honker! There is a wonderful walking path about 4 blocks away for those who like to walk/run/bike.
I would highly recommend this home to anyone needing a "home away from home". If I am ever in Rochester in the future, this will definitely be my first choice for lodging.
