This is a rustic 2 bedroom/1 bath seaside cottage in the village of Corea it is a very remote setting where you can rest, relax, and rejuvenate a great place to escape from reality. Sit and relax on the shore in front of the cottage and watch the lobster boats hauling their traps or take a walk along the beach searching for shells and sea glass. The evening sky is great for star gazing or build a fire and toast some marshmallows. Our cottage is conveniently located only 9 miles from Winter Harbor where the entrance to the Schoodic section of Acadia National Park is, as well as the ferry service that goes to and from Bar Harbor. A true Coastal Maine experience

Morningside cottage "just a wonderful place to stay".
The Clark family: My wife Darlene and I, plus Rex and Zeus (our two German Sheppard's) had a wonderful week; Sept 22nd- 29th at the Morningside Cottage in Corea ME. The private setting, ocean views, cottage was spacious and clean, fire pit , deer grazing in the yard... just a wonderful place to go and forget about reality for awhile. We cannot wait to reserve Morningside next fall in 2019!
The Perfect Oceanside Getaway
This was our second time staying at Morningside and it was even better than last year. The land was more open (a great job), so what a panoramic view of everything the ocean has to offer (and the property was as beautiful as ever and so clean). Early one morning we saw three deer under the apple tree, another morning a fox, and late one night saw a porcupine. Took a ride through the Schoodic Loop, just awesome. Saw dolphins there and beautiful views. It rained one day and we had a craving for something blueberry, so we went on a mini-adventure to find a blueberry pie so we could cook it at the cottage and just enjoy the views through the many windows, and low and behold we found one. It was so nice to enjoy a blueberry pie by the ocean. Even a rainy day is enjoyable at Morningside. This was the restful, enjoyable, picturesque getaway we needed. We will come back again and again whenever possible. Thank you Melissa and Dan for all you do.
We were sooo excited when we pulled into the driveway. Immediately loved the cottage and location. Being right on the water was awesome. Sun rises we're unbelievable. Very relaxing. Enjoyed the small town of Corea, ate at the pier, learned about lobstering at the co-op.
Awesome seaside cottage
Beautiful seaside cottage with lovely sea views and lots to do. Lot of beach to explore and fun to have. Everything inside was lovely and we had everything we needed to have a great week. Lots of lovely hiking near by. We enjoyed walking to Corea Warf for lunch. Thank you!!!
Beautiful, lovely, perfect!
House is beautiful & cozy, scenery EVERYWHERE is stunning, location is perfect, away from the hustle & bustle, and weather was gorgeous, even the cloudy days! Loved exploring Schoodic Peninsula (rock scrambling, beautiful vistas, great picnic spots), took a nature cruise out of Northeast Harbor, visited Acadia park & Bar Harbor (lucked upon an evening band concert in the town park gazebo), ate SO many lobster rolls & whoopie pies (both the best I've ever had) at the fabulous Corea Wharf, enjoyed coffee & DELICIOUS baked goods at The Bakery, loved MC's (little market) & the blueberry ice cream from Ben & Me's across the street, walked across the tidal sand bar to island, toasted marshmallows over fires in the pit & on the beach, and grandson spent hours & hours exploring & playing on the tidal beach steps from Morningside's door. I could go on & on. It was a wonderful vacation in an an amazing place. I wish I was still there.
Great family time!
My husband and I visited the area with our 19, 17 and 15-year-old children. There aren’t many places that you could take kids with this age range and never have a boring moment . From going to the lobster co-op within 1 mile of the cottage and watching the tides change the coast line, we enjoyed our time here. The people are all very kind and active in this entire area.
Just a short walk to the local wharf for an ice cream and even lunch where you can take in the lobster boats as they come in and sell their catch from the day
