Cabin is located steps from the Sacramento River and includes the use of our huge dock for your boat. The home includes 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, full size kitchen with dishwasher refrigerator, washer and dryer, living room, WiFi and beautiful views of the Sacramento River.
Property is in the middle of Driftwood RV Park and Fishing Resort in Los Molinos, CA and Only 1 mile from downtown. Enjoy access to our lodge, free boat launch at the county park next door and some of the best Salmon fishing in California.
Get away from the big city and come enjoy some quiet time with your family or loved one. Los Molinos is located about 20 minutes outside of Chico and about 20 minutes outside of Red Bluff. We are only 15 minutes from Rolling Hills Casino in Corning.
A group of 6 were attending a wedding in Red Bluff and opted to rent a house rather than stay in a hotel. Kandace welcomed us warmly, even though we were late arriving and did not intrude on our stay at all. She was nearly invisible (a bonus as far as I was concerned), but there when we had questions and easily accessible by phone if needed. This property worked really well for us. Plenty of room to spread out and a full kitchen to share meals was truly appreciated. The washer and dryer work well as do all of the appliances and we gave them a workout!
The property is a bit secluded which was a plus for us. As we all live in a large city, the change of scenery was delightful. Mostly quiet. Right on the river with an occasional train on the tracks nearby. There is a nice local grocery nearby to stock the fridge with local craft beer, Amish butter, locally made cheeses, good meat case, fresh produce and artisan bread at very reasonable prices. The entire town was very friendly including the staff at the "fishing resort" and every local business we patronized.
The interior of the house was SPOTLESS. VERY clean and the newly remodeled bathroom in the master suite was beautiful. The beds were all comfortable including the sleeper sofa (as comfy as one of them CAN be), but the linens could have been better quality (bath towels were mid weight and on the small side, comforters were polyester). There were a few hiccups though. The electrical system isn't strong. If you have several items (i.e. blow dryers, microwave, stove, etc.) working at the same time the lights will either flicker or dim, do not be alarmed. We never lost power once and there were 5 women with blow dryers... Also of note, the exterior of the house needs sprucing up. There were spiderwebs/cobwebs everywhere (not a bother to us, but it IS unsightly), but we never saw a single spider or bug of any kind. Because you are in a wooded area, the porch, doors and windows had a pollen and dust coating, nothing a good hosing off couldn't fix, but it doesn't look particularly inviting when you first arrive.
We felt safe and secure even in a remote location. As stated, good value, nothing fancy.
Nice location near the river. the rest of the area was a bit run down. Owners were nice to deal with.
We stayed here over New Years Eve weekend, both Brian, the owner, and Candace, the manager, were great and answered all of our questions. The cabin is right on the river. Since it was off season we were the only people there, it was perfect for a quiet but fun getaway. Beds are comfortable, bathrooms are clean and nice, fully stocked kitchen and a good amount of space. We will definitely be back.
