Available is a private bedroom suite with it's own entrance, bathroom and deck with dining area only 5 blocks from the Shakespeare Festival. The house was built in 1892 and has a park like landscape and updated with every amenity and great attention to detail. You can park here and walk to the restaurants, shops, festival and Lithia Park. Great view and aesthetics. Off street parking.
I grew up in Ashland and my wife and I recently bought this beautiful house built in 1892. It is zoned and set up as a traveler's accommodation, so we are able to share our home and town with people who want to visit. We have a 16 month old son and a new born.
We love meeting new people and enjoy hosting. There is no shared space between the rental unit and our living area, but we will interact outside on the beautiful grounds.
Ben and Kara Bryan purchased this house in 2015
We chose this property because it's located withing walking distance to the downtown area. This includes over 30 restaurants, bars, shops and the World Famous Shakespeare Festival. In addition, this property is one of a kind and very unique. We have always wanted to live in a house that looks nothing like other houses on the block, and this one is it!
The master bedroom at our house is beautifully finished, with hard wood floors and hard wood trim, heated tile floors, granite countertops and a beautiful view.
The location is at the top of Gresham. It is a bit of walk to the theaters. When we arrived there were two deer in the yard, a nice welcome for us but not sure the owners are happy about it. Nice to be able to park in the driveway. A king size bed fills most of the room. There are two chairs and a small table along with a small frig in the room. The bed is very comfortable and the bedding is great. The bathroom is very big, two sinks and a double shower. My only complaint is the lighting. It is very dark. There is a small lighting make up mirror available, but still pretty dark to see to put on makeup. Nice porch to sit out on during the limited time we had as we were seeing two plays both days we were there. The owners are very responsive.
This is such a nicely done cottage. Beautiful bathroom and comfortable bed/sitting area. With the private porch and French doors you feel very private and not intrusive on the Bran family. The cottage is Up a few blocks from Main Street so very quiet neighborhood. A very pleasant 10 minute walk to the theater.
Lovely space, quiet, beautiful neighborhood, close to town. It's so important to actually have a really good bed, a quiet and dark room to be able to sleep well. Great accommodations, beautiful space and large bathroom. Falcon's Nest has all that and it's peaceful and beautiful. Ben and Kara are perfect hosts.
The Falcon's Nest was everything we expected and more! It as clean and easy to access and looked just as it was shown in the pictures. Kara and Ben were so nice and as they live on the property were readily available if we were to need anything. Although everything we needed was already in our room! And they definitely gave us our privacy. The location was also perfect and a short walk to great restaurants and Lithia Park. We would definitely stay here again next time we are in Ashland!

There is an electric lock on the door and the code for your visit is set to 1895 then hit lock. There is also a key hidden as a back up.
The house has central A/C, but the controls are in the main part of the house. There is a window A/C unit you can use as much as you want. If you have the windows open, please close the vents from for the forced air. There is also a ceiling fan.
As a reminder, there is no maid service during your stay. Please place leave any towels you used on the ground and any you didn't use hanging up to save energy on washing.

You are renting the master bedroom suite at our home. It has a private entrance and is separated from the rest of the living area by a locked hallway. This means you have complete privacy and no noise travels in between the two areas. Although the house was built in 1892, it has every modern amenity. The room also has a refrigerator, microwave, coffee pot, electric kettle, and dishes.
The bathroom has a granite countertop, two sinks, heated tile floors and a large tiled shower with two shower heads.
There are french doors which open on to an outdoor seating are and fully fenced yard.
Our default is to give guests privacy while they are staying at our property. However, we are very outgoing and enjoy meeting new people, so feel free to say hi if you would like to. In addition, Ben was raised in Ashland and knows the town and area.
