Nuestra casa es su casa.
Picture yourself driving south on famed A1A into the village of Indian River Shores. You turn left onto Beachcomber Lane, just past the charming Village Shoppes, and in one-quarter of a mile you dead end at the Atlantic Ocean and The Beachcomber, your own private oceanfront retreat. The stress of the world is a thing of the past as your step from your car, breath in the fresh sea air, and gaze at the azure blue of the ocean.
From March to October you may spot a variety of sea turtles nesting at night on our beautiful shores. This is indeed the largest nesting grounds in the world for the Green Turtle. Loggerheads and several other species also choose the tranquil beaches of Indian River County to lay their eggs. The hatchlings, once fully grown, traverse the oceans of the world only to return to these same beaches to dig their nests.
We had a wonderful time. The house was very convenient to the beach. The house has all the comforts of home.
Most beautiful secluded spot I have ever vacationed in! The view is breathtaking and the home was definitely a HOME. Everything we needed and more!
What a beautiful property! Really felt like we were in our own little world. The house is stunning and yet very homey. . We visited with our 5 adult children and everyone had their own space. Three bathrooms and a washer dryer were much appreciated 😊Favorite moments for me were laying in bed and watching the sunrise and on our last night watching beautiful lightening illuminate the beach. The beach is gorgeous, the water just perfect and very few people around! Thank you for sharing your amazing home with us, we will miss you!

We loved the Beachcomber even more our second year! Great house, perfect location, friendly neighbors, beautiful beach.
Here's are the wonderful things about this place:
- the house is clean, well decorated, comfortable and casual.
- the master bedroom has a wonderful view of the sunrise, comfortable bed, nice bathroom and great walk-in closet.
- the kitchen has all the gadgets, cookware, dishes, glasses, and containers that you could possible need.
- multiple TVs in case we wanted to watch separate shows.
- comfortable outdoor seating on the porch
- perfect location at the end of a quiet street. Close to town. Easy walk to a little shopping.
- uncrowded beach
- Ocean - I can't get enough of it!
My dog Sadie patrolled the yard for rabbits, made friends with all the neighbors and barked at the other dogs on the beach. Fortunately she did not see the bobcat that wandered through early one morning (wish I had my camera!)
The beach steps at the foot of the yard became the neighborhood 'Corner', where we met for coffee, conversation and cocktails!
My family of four spent a week in this lovely home, perched right above the dunes, with stunning ocean views. The house was clean, spacious, and comfortable; the perfect place to relax, walk on the beach, ride the beach bikes, grill out on the deck, and let the sound of the crashing waves lull us to sleep. We were able to spread out for privacy, then gather together on comfortable furniture for movie nights, enjoy leisurely meals together, and snuggle on the outdoor sectional couch. Long walks on the beach each day and trips into Vero Beach for ice cream cones and shopping made the week fly by. I hope we'll return again and again.
The house was a wonderful Cape Cod 'esque' retreat on a wonderful white sand beach with pounding waves.. So magnificent . The kitchen was a chef's paradise and we ate in most nights because we didn't want to leave!
Comfy beds and two separate gathering areas made it especially great for sharing with others..
The decor was lovely and made you feel as if you were in a place that was made special by the owner.
Any questions were answered quickly, as in 'where do I go for dinner?'
It was a short drive to lovely Vero Beach and we had a great afternoon playing golf 15 minutes away.
Beachcomber was definitely a 'pinch me' type of vacation .... So lovely!

Vero Beach's charming oceanfront downtown is within one mile of the house. Browse local shops, enjoy an ice cream or delicious glass of fresh Indian River County orange juice, arguably the best in the world! On Saturday morning visit the local farmers market for fresh veggies or seafood to cook up later on the "barbie."

The McCarty and Mel Fisher Treasure Museums offer outstanding exhibits and artifacts recovered from ship wrecks that sank just off our shore in 1715 and giving our area recognition as "Florida's Treasure Coast." The UDT Navy Seals Museum will inspire and stir your patriotic juices. The McKee Botanical Garden is a not-to-be-missed site for any plant or flower lover, offering a spectacle of nature any season of the year. Orchids, bromeliads, water lilies, exotic blooming plants and palms from every corner of the world made this a tourist attraction long before Walt Disney's vision forever changed Florida.
