Amazing beach house, steps to beach and one block away from Main Street restaurants/shopping. Large gorgeous backyard with outdoor living room. No need to drive, walking distance to everything. Half-mile south of the Santa Monica Pier, Mall and 3rd Street Mall; half-mile north of Venice Boardwalk. At Ocean Park Blvd surf point. Lots to see and do and a great place to relax. One bedroom with queen bed; plus optional queen size air bed, nice linens. Weekly maid service. Finest kitchen appliances. No parties.
Location, location, location!
My family of three had a great experience staying at this property last weekend. It is a charming beach house with an ideal location less than one block from what is probably the best beach area in Santa Monica, near the Shutters and Casa del Mar hotels. This area of the beach is quiet and laid back, but you are a short walk down the beach from the Santa Monica Pier and you can enjoy views of the pier and the Santa Monica Mountains as a backdrop. The house has all modern furnishings, charming decor, a professional, well-stocked kitchen with Viking refrigerator and Wolf oven/range, and coffee service. There were plenty of bed sheets, bath and beach towels. It has a beautiful and private backyard with a dining and lounging area and wonderful lime and grapefruit trees. There is also off-street parking. It is in the middle of a quiet block but still within easy walking distance of great restaurants, coffee shops and Santa Monica boutiques. We didn't have any problems or need anything, but the owner was very attentive and emailed to make sure everything was going well. We would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to anyone who needs to stay in the area.
Just left Sharon's beach house and waiting at LAX. Location cannot be beat, literally steps from the beach. A short walk to the left and you are in Venice Beach and a short walk to the right brings you upon the Santa Monica pier. House is fully equipped and amply stocked with bath towels, beach towels etc. The kitchen has excellent appliances if you are inclined to cook on your holiday. There are two bicycles for your use. Highly recommended and will be delighted to rent again upon our return to the LA area.
One will not find a better location in Santa Monica. Super convenient to the beach and downtown. Very clean house with a gorgeous tropical backyard, secure private parking, fast reliable internet, comfy bed and a kuerig coffee maker with tons of coffee. The owner is super nice and was quick to respond to our every minor and picky need. We would stay here again.
We loved our stay in this awesome, so well appointed Santa Monica house. It's perfectly located. The bikes were fun, the towels cozy and the bed ... so comfortable. Everything was clean, easy to find and use. Having the laundry onsite helped a lot for a quick, small load. Sharon was communicative and easy to reach with our silly questions. Thank you for the great stay and we're so glad to have found this gem - we will be back. And, our friends and family will be visiting too. The ONLY problem was that we only stayed 5 nights - we could have stayed a month. Thank you and have a great summer!
This was our second stay this year at "The Beach House". As before we were very happy with our stay. This house is perfectly located close to the beach and restaurants. The new patio furniture in the back yard is a great improvement. We plan on returning every year for another delightful vacation.
We spent four nights at this Santa Monica house and found it to be an excellent choice. We were able to take the short walk to the pier with our grandson and he described visiting us each day as "really good time". We had taken him to the Popeye restaurant on the pier last year and this was one of the highlights of our visit. While he liked the lunch at Bubba Gumps', his four years of age was more in tune with Popeye.
