Why Peter Grace chose
One of the very best views of the sea in Cornwall. Guests repeatedly write in our visitors book about the amazing location and views. And then write about swimming at Porthchapel beach, easy access to the South West Coast path and how their family has loved their week and wants to return. Examples: "Extremely comfortable and very well equipped. Vessacks is extremely comfortable holiday home in a fantastic location. Great access from the front door to the coastal path with wonderful panoramic views. The perfect place to stay for a relaxing holiday." Family with two children: "Hardly used car, feels like end of Britain, real find". "A fantastic house and location. Thank you. A lizard and a seal spotted en route to Sennen. Great views from every room too."

Everyone has a different view on what they have enjoyed at Vessacks. These are some of mine:
o Telegraph museum in Porthcurno
o Penlee House Museum in Penzance for the most fantastic watercolour paintings of the area. Such skill.
o Merry Maidens stone circle and large standing stones. Just before the turn off to Lamorna
o Birds: We have seen Chough below the house as well as Stonechat. We have also seen Gannet and occasionally Manx Shearwater well out to sea.
o One of the UK’s primary sites for sea watching is on the cliff just west of Porthgwarra. The local reports are recorded at www.sennen-cove.com and more broadly in Cornwall at www.cbwps.org.uk
o St Michael’s Mount
o Walk along the Coastal footpath to Porthgwarra and have a cup of tea or an ice cream at the shop
o St Levan’s Church. Read the newer gravestones – understated and talented people and some old friends
o Walk from Sennen to Cape Cornwall. I often see chough and people surfing
o More local:
Walk out to the headland on the left and then along the path below Vessacks and right up the valley and past the church. Twenty minutes of pure rejuvenation
Pedney Beach requires a bit of a scramble to get to. Walk or swim out to the sand bank. Childhood joy.
Logan Rock. Easy to see from a distance and complicated to find
