Our apartment ,very bright and confortable, is located in the historical centre of rome, in the famous quarter of trastevere, known for its typical markets, restaurants,art galleries and libreries.
It’s on the second floor with elevator)of an antique building, in a silent street, ideal for those who wish to be in the centre of town but far from the noises of the city.
The apartment (85 square metres) has been recently renewed and has a living room with sofa-bed, two double bedrooms, fully equipped kitchen , two bathrooms with shower. All the important sites like the pantheon, campo dei fiori, piazza navona , piazza farnese, are within walking distance and the neighboroud offers the traditional sunday market of porta portese and many good restaurants and trattorie to try good roman food.
The apartment is very well connected to the airports of fiumicino and campino as well with all the train stations of the city.
In a few minutes by walking, you can reach the borgo trastevere and admire santa maria in trastevere,santa cecilia,the corsini and farnesina palaces,with the raffaellos, the botanical gardens. Over trastevere , there is the gianicolo, hill with a splendid view over the city. Walking down viale trastevere or with tram n°8, you can reach easily largo di torre argentina, piazza farnese, piazza navona, campo dei fiori, the pantheon. In largo di torre argentina, you find many buses for the vatican, the colosseum and the roman forum.
From leonardo da vinci airport (fiumicino):take city train fr1 direction settebagni (leaves every 15 minutes) to station of roma trastevere(7 stops)
From trastevere station, take tram number 8 on viale trastevere direction largo di torre argentina, get off at the 4th stop(ministero della pubblica istruzione) and the apartment is 250 metres away.
From campino airport:take terravision shuttle connected with ryanair and easy-jet to rome termini or schiaffini travel bus to roma termini.From termini,take the linea h(dei capasso) and get off at the 5th stop(ministero of pubblica istruzione)and then by foot to the apartment.
If you are coming by car,a garage (20 euro per night )is available at 100 metres.
With this gem you are located in the heart of Trastevere, a vibrant neighborhood in Rome. The apartment is spacious with a very well equipped kitchen. Very tranquil area with no noise at night. Many good restaurants within a short walk. Although we walked everywhere in Rome the tram and bus lines are only a block away. Carolina was a very helpful and gracious host. We will stay here again.
We visited our teen studying at John Cabot University. We decided on this apartment based on reviews and location. It was better then expected. The owners were responsive and easy to communicate with regarding our trip. We arrived early in the morning and we were able to check in early. The apartment is spacious and roomy for the family. All amenities were provided to make our trip comfortable. It was wonderful to have an apartment to come home to and prepare food. This apartment is equipped with travel guides and suggestions about where to eat and visit. We will stay here again when we return.
,We stayed for the month of April in this bright, charming, spacious clean apartment in the heart of Trastevere. It has been very well updated while retaining the older charm and is very comfortable. The kitchen is fully equipped. The location couldn't be better. It is very quiet yet only a few minutes walk from lots of places to eat, drink and shop. We walked everywhere from the Colosseum to Villa Borghese but a tram stop is about 3 minutes away and the closest Metro stop about 20-25 minutes.
I would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to friends and relatives.

We stayed in this flat for 7 nights and absolutely fell in love with it! The apartment is beautiful and very accommodating. The rooms are open and bright and having two bathrooms was a huge bonus. The kitchen was stocked with everything you need to make meals right there at the flat. I used a small Moka pot (there are 3 different sizes available in the kitchen cabinets) to make myself an espresso each morning. The apartment is quiet and easy to find.
The neighborhood of Trastevere was the perfect place to stay. Via Della Luce (the street on which the flat is located) is just one block from the main Trastevere street where you can grab a taxi any time of day (or night) or use the bus/subway. There are many great places to eat, all within walking distances, including fun pastry and gelato shops. A nearby supermarket provided the food we needed to make breakfast each morning.
If you are looking for a great place to stay with easy access to transit and lots of things to do in the area- then I definitely recommend this flat. Should I return to Rome again someday, I sincerely hope this place is still available to rent.
We were delighted with our apartment in Trastevere. The neighborhood is quiet with eateries, shopping, pastries and gelato just around the corner!
Having never been to Rome I wasn't sure where to book our lodging. I'm pleased to have chosen the Trastevere area. Some call it 'old Rome' because it has the feel of yesteryear, more so than the hustle/bustle of the downtown area. Although we did not find an area in Rome without tourists, I found myself exhaling tension when I returned to our apartment for the evening having been in other parts of Rome that are thronged with tourists. The pace is a bit slower in Trasvetere with less people milling about.
We found the apartment within walking distance of the major attractions (although we did take a taxi to and from the Vatican). It's near bus stops as well as a mere block from the tram line.
The apartment itself is bright, airy and very clean. The kitchen is well stocked with every doodad needed for cooking meals should you choose to do that. We ate breakfast there each morning before venturing out for the day. The wi-fi worked great and we loved using the little 'lift' (elevator) to our floor each day! Having 2 bathrooms was a bonus...The owner has compiled a 3 ring binder full of information, not only details about the apartment, but tourist information re: Rome, too, that was very helpful.
The owner's nephew met us there to check in. He speaks excellent English and was very helpful. The friendly owner met us the evening before our departure to return our deposit.
I would recommend this apartment to couples, friends traveling together as well as small families. There is ample room so all would feel like they have their own space.
Should I return to Rome someday there is no reason to rent elsewhere. I would return to this apartment on Via Del Luce.
We stayed in this nice home for 4 nights. The apartment is really very spacious, bedrooms are located at different sides of the flat and a great thing is 2 bathrooms with wc. The apartment is located on the 3'd floor, house is with elevator if needed. All the windows face the inner yard. The surrounding is quite and no one was disturbing our night sleep. I was really surprised how close it is to the city center - we could reach almost all the attractions on foot, we used tram and bus just once. Wi-Fi worked perfectly. We did not have to use the air-condition, it is available for extra price.
In the apartment we could find all we needed for cooking breakfast, the nearest Carrefour supermarket is just 2 min away and we bought there great Italian food for breakfast.
Trastevere's center is 5-7 min walking to the west, there you can find lots of nice places to eat and to buy suveniours. Several cozy trattorias are just around the corner. We didn't have a chance to visit the market but it is probably worth it.
I would recommend this place for couples ( also 2 couples will feel very nice here), for families with kids and teenagers or just for friends like us. There is really enough place for 4-5 people. Thanks the owners.
