After a day fishing (deep sea, flats or freshwater), kayaking, scalloping, tubing, or birding you can grill your fresh catch while relaxing at the saltwater pool. We can provide rental bikes, and help arrange kayak trips and eco-tours. The home has two bedrooms with a queen-sized and a double bed, one bath, and a full kitchen. Located less then a mile from the Withlacoochee River, and Outstanding Florida Waterway, and 6 miles from the Gulf of Mexico and the Big Bend Seagrasses Aquatic Preserve. As Florida's largest aquatic preserve and with sparse development along its shores, Big Bend Seagrasses Aquatic Preserve has a wealth of recreational opportunities, including swimming, wildlife viewing, boating, canoeing, kayaking, scalloping and fishing. There are several state parks, national wildlife refuges and two paddling trails. The property is an easy drive (less then half an hour) to the crystal clear waters of the Rainbow River in Dunnellon, the Homasassa River, and King's Bay in Crystal River. Historic Cedar Key with its dockside restaurants and galleries is only a bit farther away. This is literally and figuratively at the Heart of the Nature Coast. The bungalow is located directly across a quiet road from the historic Yankeetown School and walking distance to the overhanging oaks and rustic cottages of Yankeetown's scenic Riverside Drive.
