Spectacular Cottage! I wish it were mine

  • 5 of 5

As soon as I opened the door it felt like home! The owner is an artist and there were originals on the walls and reproductions of his work on coasters and trivets, which are darling. His bonus touches were especially welcoming- goody baskets by the beds, toiletries and kitchen extras that you don't often find.

I had some initial trepidation with the property abutting the Rocking Rabbit (a brew pub) but there was no noise at ALL. I will return again to see Mount Dora when there is not a festival going on so that I can really appreciate the charm of the town. FIVE STARS- very well done

Well equipped, clean and neat home!

Walking distance to restaraunts. Dan's extra touches---including breakfast food in fridge and snacks in bedrooms were a welcomed and pleasant treat! We enjoyed the porch as well.

We just loved staying in the cottage. It was very charming, impeccably clean, had all the amenities a guest ever needed or wanted. It was close to town, shopping and all the restaurants. After all our exertions it was delightful to return to the cottage.

Elaine was just wonderful to work with, she kept us updated on Matthew and quickly responded to all our inquires prior to our arrival.

We will definitely visit Mt. Dora again and hopefully have the pleasure of renting the cottage again.

Thank you for a wonderful getaway.

I will be traveling to Guatemala from Guadalajara Mexico .

fully surpassed my expectations

  • 5 of 5

Location allowed easy asscess on foot or bike to downtown, 6 public tennis courts, library, fantastic restaurants, and activites on the lake such as boat excursions and "seaplane" ride. The owner was fully responsive. The property assistant went beyond the call of duty - multiple times - to assure my wants and needs were met. I would have stayed there for a whole year but it wasn't available for the long term of my desires.

We just loved this little cottage! It was quaint and comfortable and we absolutely adored our stay here. The owner (Dan) and host (Elaine) are both friendly and easy to get in touch with (Elaine was super friendly and helpful!). This was a perfect size place for our little family of four during our weekend getaway to Mount Dora. It is in a perfect location -- just a couple of blocks from the boat ramp to Lake Dora and close to downtown. The home was clean and adorable, with plenty of extras provided to make our stay comfortable. Especially loved Dan's wonderful artwork throughout the house. We definitely plan to come back and would recommend this place for small families, couples and just about anyone!
