Why Marianne Cufone chose North West Florida

I found Pensacola Beach just last year. I've lived mostly in south and central Florida and spent little time in the Panhandle. I have been working often in New Orleans recently and while it is an amazing city, I was really missing the beach. A friend suggested I check out Pensacola. Just 3 hours south - what a hidden gem - beaches are sugar white sand and water is clear blue/green. It's not overbuilt - many parts of the beach are even permanently protected! I started looking for a place I might buy and found the San De Luna townhouses - this unique property is the only one that sits between the bay and the beach - water and sand on both sides - with a beautiful pool and private tennis court. How could I resist? In under a year I am the very happy owner a piece of perfect paradise. Downtown Pensacola is amazing too - cute shops, art, museums, great restaurants and plenty to do. The Blue Wahoo minor league baseball games are really fun! There is a large weekly farmers market and so much more. I'm happy to share too - I hope you love it as much as I do.

Lovely home in a fabulous location

This home was so close to water in every direction!! Walk to the gulf beaches, walk to the swimming pool, walk to the bay beaches!! Everything was clean and comfortable. Marianne supplies everything you need for a great beach stay. We didn't believe it would be so easy to stay here and brought towels and beach chairs and all kinds of things we could have left at home. Even the pantry and refrigerator were full of usable, necessary items! Great stay.

Water views from every window!

You could see the gulf or the bay from every window! The grounds were beautiful. The condo was fantastic! Anything you needed was there. It was clean and well cared for. Beach access was directly across the street, besides having nice beach on the bay side. A trolley stop is just down from the front door so you don't need to take your car unless you're leaving the island. This was our first time in a condo and we think we made a great choice.

Little disappointing

The property overall was ok, however we had an issue the first evening with the old patio table on the deck. We placed the umbrella in the table when we got there and a storm came in and picked up the umbrella out of the stand and broke the glass table. We had shards of glass everywhere. I ended up spending a couple hours cleaning up the mess, moving the chairs under the stairs, putting the table out to the dumpster and also had to wait around for a delivery on the 4th of July. Even after all of this work and time out of out vacation time spent we were charged for replacing the table. The table was extremely old and was not our fault what happened to it. I am a little confused as to why there would be a glass table in an area prone to strong storms/hurricanes coming in. In addition to that, not sure if it is due to the humidity, but there was a musty smell in the property and we could see some mold/mildew in the bathroom.

Owner's Response: This is clearly retaliation for us having to retain their security deposit to replace the furniture that was broken, as all our other reviews for the past years have been glowing. The guest totally disregarded the explicit instructions not to leave the umbrella in the table overnight. The beach can be very windy and this is why we have clearly posted instructions to remove the umbrella when not in use. The table and chairs were new last season - not at all old as described. The guest broke both the table and umbrella. We spent hours of our time over a holiday weekend when little was open and available to rush to replace the furniture during their stay so they would have a patio set to use. The security deposit did not even cover the full replacement costs and we did not request more from them. The guest wasn't even cooperative in assisting us with the replacement - he refused to answer phones and texts in helping us coordinate delivery.

Wonderful week...Bay beach is perfect!!

We stayed at this property last week and had a wonderful time. We chose to stay at this townhouse due to it being pet friendly. We brought our Standard Poodle with us for the week and this complex is very dog friendly and so clean. The dog beach is across the street and so easy to access. The complex is family friendly, such a cozy, peaceful atmosphere. The pool was never crowded, in fact hubby and I had it all to ourselves one afternoon which was a first on vacation. The bay beach turned out to be our favorite spot to relax. The water was so clear and calm and we could walk back to the condo with ease. The poodle enjoyed the bay side best as well ;) The condo has everything you could need. Kitchen is great, everything needed plus some! There are bikes in the storage closet downstairs, aired the tires up and good as new, we really enjoyed our bike rides. The owner was a pleasure to work with and very responsive. We highly recommend staying at this property, you will not be disappointed!! Thank you for the hospitality, hope to stay again in the future!!

Great place to stay.

We stayed at this wonderful condo last year. Wow what a place. Perfect views from both front and back porches. Very comfortable and clean. Well equipped kitchen which is modern. Big bedrooms. We had a wonderful stay at a great complex. Easy to communicate with Mare and had no complaints. Would highly recommend this property. Thank you for letting us stay.
