Amazing week in Alaska!

  • 5 of 5

The Tundra Swan Treehouse provided the perfect lodging for a one-week stay in Alaska for my spouse and me. It felt like a rustic, private cabin in the woods, but is close to major highways and every amenity in Anchorage. We easily enjoyed day trips for hiking, fishing, whale watching, and sightseeing. Everything that we needed was provided, including clean and modern kitchen facilities and a washer and dryer. The wi-fi worked very well. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend it to any couple planning to spend some time in the Anchorage area. Connie was a joy to work with.

Amazing location and the owner was overly helpful with anything we needed. Even offered us a ride.

Amazing location and the owner was overly helpful with anything we needed. Even offered us a ride to the place from where we had stopped to eat and took us back the next day to get our rental car. Very nice and clean with everything we needed and more. I'd definitely recommend this place.

Quiet, clean and convenient

  • 4 of 5

The pictures give a good idea of what the apartment is like. The neighborhood is very woodsy - birds, squirrels, chance of bear, even evidence of moose. The whole apartment was scrupulously clean, the kitchen is well appointed, and the washer dryer was a big help. The wi-fi was excellent and so was the bed. It was wonderfully quiet, and perfect for a couple. It has a few quirks - the bedroom walls don't go all the way up to the ceiling; there are lights with no switches, and switches that don't turn anything on; and the bedroom closet has a great big window! We had a very pleasant stay.

Owner's Response: Thank You For Your Comprehensive Concerns, Ann!!! Actually ALL the switches go to either outside security lights and /or the heating and air conditioning features. We will label them in the future, but they need to exist because of the variances in temperatures in our location( from 90 degrees in the summer to minus 30 in the winter!!)We would have been happy to explain the What and Where of ALL the "switch" aspects of the unit! All The Best, C. Rauterkuss

Surprising privacy, wonderful setting, great host

  • 5 of 5

The apartment was everything and more than was advertised. It's off the side of the main house with its own porch facing into a patch of trees, so feels like a cabin off in the woods. The interior was sparkling clean and well-maintained. Kitchen was nice, amply equipped and with a small table for four. It was an adequate space for us and our two kids, super comfortable and Connie couldn't have been a more gracious host. She also offered her own stories of the Alaska that we came to experience, and helped us find a mother moose and her calves that were wandering the neighborhood. We hope to return for another stay when in Anchorage again.

Great location and decor

  • 5 of 5

Connie was a great host, and the treehouse was perfect for our two adults and one teen. It had everything we needed, the design and furnishings were really comfortable, and the wooded setting was amazing. This is our new favorite place to stay when visiting family in Anchorage.

Lovely and really clean!

  • 5 of 5

Connie was amazing and so helpful during our stay! She stayed up to greet us when we arrived even though it was close to 11pm. The property is easy to get to and close to everything, but it feels like you are in the middle of nowhere. The residence is beautifully decorated and perfect for a couple. You have everything you need. If you have children they will sleep on the pullout but they have extra bedding so it should be really comfortable. Recommend staying here for sure! We will be going back again soon!
