Not happy in Ramah
I was really disappointed with this property. I didn't mind that the house was old or the floors were slanted. What I minded was there was only 1 roll of toilet paper for 4 people for 4 days. I had to buy more. The bathroom was not clean. When you lifted the toilet seat you could see it was not cleaned. The toilet leaked all over the floor and ran constantly. The coffee maker had molded grounds left in it which I had to throw away. I then had to washed all the utensils before using because they were dirty. The water was brown from the tap in the kitchen. I had to go buy drinking water, also.
Family Reunion Get Away
My cousins and I rented this charming little gem for a family reunion. It was well appointed with everything we needed. Beds were very comfortable and the porch was a perfect place for a kids slumber party. We visited near by El Morro National Monument, the Zuni Village, the Ice Caves, and walked to Ramah Lake. I'd recommend staying here a few nights just to unwind and get out of the city. (It would also be a great place to take a retreat or write a novel!)
The town is very small and cell phone service is limited; for both reasons I would return! The kids played games and visited instead of being on their phones. It's very quite and the air is fresh. I'd recommend The Stage Coach Cafe if you don't want to cook. Over all - a great place to literally get away from it all!
