Turin Castle is a Five Star exclusive-use home in the heart of Scotland. Midway between Edinburgh and Aberdeen, surrounded by the scenic Angus Glens, it is the perfect place to retreat from the rush of everyday life and surrender to lush, unspoiled countryside.
An authentic Scottish hideaway, Turin is luxuriously spacious, sleeping up to 20 guests in ten beautifully appointed rooms, yet retains an intimate and boutique feel. Elegantly designed with an opulent mixture of traditional and contemporary aesthetics throughout – from roaring fires to mini claw foot baths to four-poster suites to the gorgeous warming aga stove to rooms outfitted with Clive Christian furniture, - every detail has been lovingly hand-picked to the highest quality, ensuring a completely sumptuous experience during your stay.
Steeped in history, Turin Castle was built in 1659 then devotedly relocated – stone by stone – in 1907, nestled in twenty acres of private grounds that could be yours to explore. The combination of dramatic, breath-taking views and the grand-yet-homely house provides endless inspiration; Whether it’s a cosy getaway with loved ones, a spectacular backdrop for a wedding, a dream golfing holiday, a special corporate event, or an adventure rambling through the glens and down to the nearby stunning Lunan Bay Beach, let your imagination run away with you.
This beautiful getaway aside the formalities of hotel and invites guests to completely unwind during their stay, with the option for self-catering or full-catering, as well as a range of options for bespoke dining experiences and events including ample space for marquees should the Courtyards (seating up to 40 and 110 respectively) not be quite enough for a special celebration.
A sophisticated setting for any event, the in-house team at Turin are delighted to work with you, putting their expert local knowledge and extensive event experience to use.
For the adventurers, as well as the wonderful walks through the glens on your doorstep, Turin Castle is within easy access of over 100 golf courses, including championship courses such as Carnoustie, St Andrews, Stag and Grouse Shoots on nearby Estates, Clay Pigeon shooting, Land Rover safaris, Mountain biking, whisky tasting, cookery lessons and lots more.

Stayed here for several nights in late December with a group of three families, including nine mostly grown children ages 14-22. Cannot speak highly enough about House of Turin, which is spectacular, and about Yvonne, who is the most gracious host you will ever meet. The property and the grounds are top-notch, lovingly restored. Our hired butler, Gavin, was wonderful. We enjoyed a gala dinner, complete with rented kilts, haggis and a bagpiper. All meals were simply stellar. If you want to have a truly memorable stay with a fun-loving group, House of Turin cannot be matched. Thank you, Yvonne!
Thank you so much for your lovely comments - we simply loved having you all at Turin - we are something different and like to create memories for our guests and make them feel at home - quite unlike a hotel! As we say in Scotland "haste ye back" to your Scottish home!
We are perfectly located for a golfing, fishing or shooting break in the Angus Glens. We are less than one hours drive from many Championship Golf Courses including St Andrews, Carnoustie and Gleneagles. We have several amazing beaches right on our doorstep and several distilleries within close driving range. Our neighbour Glamis Castle is the historic home of the Mother of the current Queen of England and is a must see in the area and can be booked for Gala Dinners in the Royal DIning Room.
