Our ritzy Designer apartment is for exclusive use by our guests. It's on our lower level with a private interior entry door, large windows, modern furnishings, theatrical accent lighting, and many thoughtful amenities like cookies. Of course it has WIFI and satellite TV. Settle in by the wide-screen electric fire in winter and stay delightfully chilled in summer.

The bedroom has a queen-size bed with one of those fancy Casper mattresses, patterned purple sheets, and good reading lamps; but the sofa in the living room also folds down into a full-size bed with a memory-foam topper and its own purple bedding.

The fully furnished kitchen does NOT include a stove but has a large refrigerator/freezer stocked with basics, microwave, toaster oven, plenty of cabinet and food prep area, complementary coffee, dining table with chairs and tableware for four. We hope you'll be surprised by all the little extras in kitchen and bath that will make you feel right at home!

This is a quiet neighborhood with lots of street parking, pleasant walking, and easy access to the bus line. Many of our guests seem to prefer Uber-ing around town. Five minutes away by car is the Table Mesa Shopping Center for groceries, morning coffee, restaurants, and even a Yoga studio.

You do have to enter your apartment through our house front door. With a lock code unique to you, you can come and go any time, maybe run into our gentle Golden dog, but you'll be downstairs, we'll be upstairs and you won't pass through our living area at all. Naturally we're available for questions and opinions!

About Linda Cowan

Linda arrived in Boulder in 1956, age 10. After many comings and goings over the years and a career in commercial interior design, Linda moved back to Boulder in 1995 with Jeff and their then 10-year-old son, Ethan. Jeff worked at NCAR in super computer administration until retiring in 2013. Now we are putterers, Linda in the garden, Jeff in his woodworking shop. We love Boulder and our Golden Retriever, Wylie, and try to go to a movie every Tuesday when it's a bargain. Linda loves opera, Jeff loves jazz.

Why Linda Cowan chose Boulder

In 1995 we wanted to move to Boulder to be near Linda's parents and get away from the Silicon Valley rat race. Linda scouted houses in every part of town, looking (listening!) primarily to avoid traffic noise and enjoy good south sunlight. This neighborhood is is the quietest! It also has Open Space to the west and south so that it can't expand in a way that requires new roads! It turns out this is the only place we've lived where we know our neighbors and they know us!

What makes this apartment unique

The first time I walked up the stairs into this bi-level home I was grabbed by the light and knew this was the one. Walking on nearby mountain park trails is a major perk.

Incredible Amenties, Wonderful Apartment

This gorgeous semi-basement apartment was a delightful surprise - extremely spacious and well-appointed with tons of amenities - shampoo, conditioner, a few drinks and snacks (including homemade cookies, yum!), extra blankets, anything you could need! Linda greeted us when we arrived and showed us where everything was, but otherwise despite sharing an entrance the apartment felt super-private (and Wylie, their adorable golden retriever, is well-trained on where his domain vs. the guest domain is, much to our dog-loving chagrin).

It was during the high heat of Colorado summer, but the apartment was gloriously cool (so much so that Linda even provided a radiator in case we needed heat - we used a few extra blankets but didn't need that).

We were attending a wedding nearby and Boulder is small enough that it was easy to get most places from the location - no more than 10 or 15 minutes to get anywhere. Parking was ample and there were some super pretty hiking trails right in the neighborhood! Would definitely stay here again if we return to the area.

We had a wonderful experience in Boulder at Linda Cowan's apartment. She had a clean, tidy, well decorated apartment and plenty of supplies. She thought of everything. We would stay again next time we need to be in south Boulder. I highly recommend staying at Linda's apartment.

Delightful!

Linda, Jeff, and their sweet dog Wylie were such kind and generous hosts, and they had thought of everything someone might need to be comfortable in this cozy, nicely decorated apartment. All of the information Linda provided about everything from how to get to the house to how appliances worked was clear and complete. The location is very convenient, and the neighborhood is quiet and pleasant. This place would be great for someone traveling on his/her own (as I was) or for a couple. I very much hope to be able to stay here again in the future--this time with my husband!
