Clean and Beautiful House
We enjoyed our one week stayed here, very convenient, so close to Disney. Highly recommend
Way to many issues with the house
I am very disappointed with how our week turned out !! I assumed that when I rented a property it would be complied with Florida laws. The safety alarm for the sliding glass doors to the pool area was not functioning. It was hanging off the wall tied with a hair tie and emergency lights were hanging off the wall pointed to the ground. Those were major safety issues!! It was very apparent that the house was not checked for maintenance issues before our arrival. The outside light by the front door needed to be replaced. The cleaning service did not clean the master bathroom toilet, it was broken and would not flush. We arrived Saturday with the intention of grilling for dinner. We got back to the house that night only to find out there was not grill that we rented for the entire week. It arrived the next day. The heated pool was great but it wasn’t at all pleasant to swim in. The broken screen caused all debre to enter making the pool all dirty. As pool owners we can understand it gets dirty and we used the skimmer to clean the surface. However, that was broken as well with a hole in it. On top of all it all second master bedroom had a sink issue and the garbage disposal was having electrical issues. These are things I feel should have been checked prior to our arrival. Our planned relaxing vacation turned into contacting maintenance all week for issues to be fixed so we could not be blamed at the end of the week. Prior to 02/25/19 I contacted the property manager about canceling for Saturday night. When I received our reservation details with the change not made I contacted him again. Assuming we were on the same page, I arrived in Florida and was told it was too late to change my reservation. Therefore, even paid for an extra night that we did not even stay. This trip is planned every year around the same time and sadly we will not be returning to this property next year.
Totally unfair. I went back and looked through all of our emails back and forth – and there were plenty of them with you trying to cut corners with your reservation. If you look back, I was very accommodating in any way I could be. Examples of your requests - You were asking for pool heat for only part of the week and the grill for only part of the week. You then asked for the one day to be dropped off your reservation after all of the other requests. We did not drop the day from your reservation because you didn’t give us nearly enough time, and you knew that. I know that Chris, our property manager, addressed and fixed the four very minor issues you emailed me about when you first checked in. We never heard one word about any of the others. I guess this is your way of getting back at us for not dropping the last day. Totally unfair.
We loved this beautiful house
We loved our stay in this beautiful house. There were some minor issues such as a broken coffee pot, but the property manager responded to our concerns. We would suggest that HomeAway’s fee be deducted in the initial payment. Although you’re aware that it exists, it comes as a surprise a week later.
