The master bedroom contains a king sized bed, flat screen TV, walk in closet, soaker tub and large shower. The second bedroom has two twins and the third bedroom has one queen sized bed -with a flat screen TV. There is also a queen sized sofa-bed and 55" flat screen TV in the living room. The gourmet kitchen is equipped with top of the line appliances and well stocked with most things you will need during your stay. The table seats 6 inside, 3 at the kitchen bar and there is also a table for 4 on the lanai. We offer free high speed internet and free long distance to both Canada and the USA.

The ground floor also offers a large grassy area just off the lanai. While relaxing and enjoying the breath taking view from your lanai, enjoy a cup of Kona coffee, or a refreshing beverage from your outdoor refrigerator and wet bar.

Stunning Ground Floor Ocean Front Villa - Our unit has the most amount of private yard area of all ocean front units in the entire complex. Just imagine watching your children play in our back yard while you sit on the lanai having a chilled mai tai, watching the whales breach in front of your eyes. A truly amazing site only available in our unit. In addition to premium furnishings and appliances indoors, we have a full wet bar and fridge on our lanai for enjoying those warm Hawaiian breezes.

I am very familiar with Hal'i Kai and was looking for a ground floor unit "near" the water and pool area- this condo was PERFECT!!! The pictures are accurate- you can sit on your Lanai and are feet away from the ocean! If you are staying during whale season I can only imagine the "show" you would see as you relax sipping drinks or coffee--- a next door neighbor told men that the condo is so close to the whales that he often hears them singing and frolicking while in bed!! The owner of this condo is delightful and cares very much that your stay is great. I can't say enough good things about this specific condo- if you are looking to stay at Hali'i Kai stay here!!! I loved my time here so much I booked another visit in December!!!!

Breathtaking outlook, relaxing and comfortable

Well positioned in the villa complex, has great views over the ocean and is right next door to the pool and restaurant. Also had a common grass area out the back for our kids to play on.

Looks fantastic inside with a full working kitchen.

Would definitely recommend hiring a car while staying here as its long walk to shops and even in/out of the villa complex.

Renters beware of lack of communication, excuses from owners

This is a nice condo with great ocean views & close proximity to the Ocean Club & beaches, this is why we chose it, however, dealing with the (out of the state) owners is another story. We live on Oahu so are not tourists but it is the hottest month of the year and in the middle of lava fields, so in the 90's. Trades (ocean breezes depending on which direction the wind is blowing and location of unit) CAN be cool but not in the heat of the summer and when one pays over $350/night (with all of the additional fees) and chooses A/C, then one expects to be able to use it. Big Island is notorious for vog-smog and haze lingers over much of the island year-round from the ongoing volcano and can create breathing problems for many so A/C can be a necessity not just a novelty. On the 3rd day of our stay, after returning from doing an ocean swim race, we were exhausted and ready for a reprieve indoors since it was brutally hot outside. I texted, called and left vm messages for 3 different people: the owner, cleaner (who supposedly is the backup contact person for any problems) and the 3rd contact number given. NO ONE called me back until 4:40pm, almost 6hrs later. It was the owner, David, who apparently lives in Canada & was travelling, who tells me to "open the windows to let the cool breezes come in." I was very insulted and furious. How dare someone who doesn't even live here tell me about the pleasant weather when the unit temp was 83 degrees with no breeze and vog. He never even apologized but kept stating that now it is Sat night, his cleaner is at a family outing on the other side of the island and it's too late to get someone to come fix the A/C. He stated numerous times, "there is nothing that I can do." We all had a miserable nights sleep and I texted him the next morning demanding that this be resolved. An A/C tech came by that morning and spent almost 4hrs there fixing the leak. Because of this, one of our group had to cancel plans with us and stay at the unit to let him in and be there while he did the repair. As a small gesture for the discomfort & inconvenience, we asked for a late check-out the final day, which originally David agreed to. But all of a sudden he stated that they got a last-minute booking so only gave us an extra hour for all of that hassle.

To top it off, the microwave stopped working!

So renters beware-you will get excuses & you better hope that they're not busy if you need anything cause it's all about the $.

Owner's Response: Anonymous, I've never had anyone not leave their name. After hosting guests for 8 years, we have never encountered a review such as this one. I am sorry that you did not enjoy your few days at our condo and that the heat drove you to such anger and frustration. We did apologize to you and again I apologize for your discomfort. Our on island property manager was on the other side of the island attending to other things. They have other work/clients too. We were on a flight, so unable to take your call that morning. We were coming back from putting my father in law to rest. We did reply to you right after we landed, stating that we had calls into the air conditioning company and were just waiting for a call back. It was Saturday evening, not an easy time to get a hold of a company. We suggested that in the meantime, maybe opening the windows would help with the air flow. I don't understand how that is insulting. We had no control over the air conditioning, or the timetable of the specialists needed to fix it. First thing Sunday morning, just over 12 hours after we made contact with you and less then 24 hours since you left a message, the A/C company was there and everything was fixed and running. We were so relieved that he would come out on a Sunday morning to help us out. It was not necessary for you to stay and wait for him. We never asked that of you. At the beginning of your stay, we gave you a very early check in, so that you could enjoy your day. We also tried to give you a late check out, but unfortunately the turn around time for the unit to be cleaned for the next guests was too short to grant that, but we did give you an extra hour for your morning hike and shower. If writing a negative review is therapeutic for you, then I guess that is what you have to do. We did everything we could do from afar. Again, I apologize for your frustration and discomfort.

Sun and fun!

The 6 of us had a great time at this property. Most of our time was spent outside, exactly where we wanted to be. The pool and cafe are nearby, several swimming beaches easy to drive to, and endless activities on the island.

The initial problems with the sign-up process were solved with the help of Joanne, and all was went.

Swimming and pool equipment was supplied, the very basic household items available, and

the neighborhood quiet and pleasant. Thanks for a great vacation!

Beautiful, peaceful, perfect!

We had a wonderfully relaxing week at Hali'i Kai's 13H condo. Stunning views in all directions from the patio. Well stocked, updated kitchen had everything we needed. Lots of space to spread out, though we tended to migrate to the amazing patio to soak up the views and warm air and breezes. Hali'i Kai has lush, colorful well maintained grounds, a picturesque pool/BBQ/bar area on the water. We enjoyed the quiet of Hali'i Kai, yet appreciated the proximity to shopping, restaurants, beaches and were well situated for daytime adventures. We were all sorry to have the week in this paradise come to an end!
