2nd time staying at this property. Perfect size unit for my husband and I and our dog. Great location only about 1.5 miles from Surf City center and block and a half walk straight down the street to public beach access.
We had a great experience and would come back again.
In need of some updating. Cleaning company is incompetent. Bed looked as if a child had made the bed. Wasn’t sure if sheets had actually been washed. Comforter had white stains on it, I couldn't bring myself to use it. Dishes and glasses needed to be washed before using. This apartment is a perfect location and has great potential. Just a shame it wasn’t clean.
This property is located close to beach access and local shops and restaurants. Great experience.
Great for traveling with a pet
We scheduled this trip because we had hoped to bring our dog. Unfortunately, we had to say goodbye to her at 16 years old just before the trip. We stayed on the bottom level, which was clean and comfortable with great wireless Internet access. The ice machine doesn’t work and there are no ice trays, so plan on buying bagged ice. Although we had access to the upstairs deck, it was too awkward to use with other guests staying up there. A shade sail could also be nice up there. This location is an easy ride to downtown restaurants. We also walked twice to Gallagher’s, which doesn’t look like much on outside, but has great food.
Great location, watch Vrbo surcharges
Overall enjoyed our experience at this property. You're two short blocks from the beach. For the money though I wish there were a couple niceties. Brochures about surrounding restaurants and businesses. A couple of extra towels, wash cloths. The toilet roll hanger was broken. Loud air conditioning fan in the bedroom. (thankfully I already sleep with earplugs)
Property manager, though very nice, is in another city, so when we were locked out of washer /drier room on the last night of our stay. There was no good resolution except carrying home wet items. If you bring a dog count on approx 261.00 a night. 84.00 pet fee. (I agreed to it) VRBO charges a 64.00 fee. Let's call it a "handling charge" . This was sprung on me with no advanced notice. Just saying ASK about these things and don't find out the hard way. I've used vrbo twice before and never was surprised by secret surcharges. So I don't know if this is a new trend?
