AC malfunctions were the only issue
We arrived on Thursday at about 11 AM. We couldn’t check in yet, but this condo is in a building that is a hotel. It’s quite a lovely hotel in fact and we were able to check our bags with the hotel so we could explore the city a bit. When we got into the unit about 4 PM, it was very warm in there. I didn’t think much of it because I figured the unit had been vacant and the air-conditioner had been turned up. So we turned the air conditioner down significantly and went for supper around 7 PM.
As soon as we logged into the room, which was simple to do , I received a text message welcoming us and letting me know if we needed anything to just call or text that number back. So that was super nice.
The unit was well represented in the photos it had a great view- it was a really good location. Right on Canal Street, so very close to the French quarter, but not in the hubbub of super loud Street traffic. The pool was small but it was a rooftop pool so that view was gorgeous.
The only issue with this unit was the air condition continued to just blow really room temperature air in the master bedroom and the living room area so while I wouldn’t say it was hot, I can’t say that it was cold either. The Sonder people sent someone almost every day at our request and they would say it was working and blowing cold air. There was a separate unit in the other bedroom and it was nice and chilly in there. Which really called out the fact that the living room and the master bedroom were not cold. So I was pretty disappointed about the lack of air-conditioner working properly. They were very kind about it and responsive, but ultimately never fixed it and for those reasons I have to give it a three star. If they get the air-conditioner working properly, it’s definitely a five star accommodation. Their customer service was very good, and they were responsive, so again overall lovely place safe area, lovely building, well appointment, if they get the AC fixed it’s five star
The property was a little odd. Very large bedrooms and a very small common space. No television, (one was there but it had no connection to anything). The rooftop was great but getting access was troublesome, we got stuck up there with other people. There were also cockroaches but is is the south. The management company was not at all good, I would give them a 1. With the trouble we had they did not offer a partial refund and I found that short sighted.
