This is a 130 year old rustic millhouse cottage. Full living room, kitchen/dining room, 3 bedrooms, 1 bath, washer and dryer. 2 full bedrooms with a sleeper sofa in the third. About a mile from all activities in Juliette. Near the river, the Whistlestop Cafe, shopping and the small town of Juliette. Don't miss Delores at Purple Haze gift shop. She will tell you the history of the town as well as sell you a small book of the history if you like. Wonderful breakfast/lunch/dinner at Romeo and Juliet Italian cafe at the start of the town of Juliette. About a mile from Jarrel's Plantation National Historic Village.
We were satisfied with our stay. Quiet, cozy. Host was nice and responsive. Would recommend for people who like rustic/simple living. I would not hesitate to say here again when I need a place in that area.
Only 2 things I think could of been improved on was a clean trash can for kitchen area and wifi connections.
We loved the location of this place - it was close to Juliette, GA where Fried Green Tomatoes was filmed. We enjoyed strolling around the shops and eating hot and tasty friend green tomatoes at the Whistle Stop Cafe. We went hiking at a nearby Wilderness Preserve and our son did a little fishing in a nearby lake. This little house was very basic, but it had a kitchen that we were able to cook several meals in and there were three small, but functional bedrooms for us and our teen son to be able to spread out and not be right on top of each other. The HVAC system worked well - we were cozy even though the weather outside was pretty chilly. They allowed to bring our two dogs and this was a really nice perk as well. We would most likely stay here again in the future.
