About the property

2 Bedrooms, 2.5 Bathrooms, 4 Sleeps

Originally built in the early 1900’s, this two-story charming historic cottage is mid-century modern meets Dwell magazine-style decor. The home boasts 2 bedrooms, 2.5 baths and a sprawling tropical backyard oasis. The master bedroom overlooks the park and beautiful Charlotte Harbor.

You can relax in the very private backyard, take a walk in the park, ride your bike around the City on the local trolley or just sit in the sun room and cool off after sailing and fishing some of the greatest waters in the world.

Located in the beautiful historic district of Punta Gorda across from Ghilcrest park with breathtaking views of Charlotte Harbor. Just three blocks from downtown, it is within walking or biking distance to Fisherman’s Village, Laishley Park, restaurants, shops, farmers markets, history and nature parks and nightly live entertainment.

Experience Punta Gorda more authentically by staying in the most culturally beautiful neighborhoods. As a young, social, and dedicated Punta Gordaian, you'll have your own concierge with elevated hospitality.

Your room is in the nicest, private master bedroom upstairs. Mid-century furniture, lots of natural light and waterfront views from the comfort of your bed. With a large soaking tub for a little extra rest and relaxation.

Guest Access

We use a deadbolt with a code, which allows guests to come and go conveniently and hassle free.

Getting Around

Most people coming to Punta Gorda have a vehicle for transportation. The driveway can fit 2 cars, and parking on the street is free and open as well.

I recommend walking or biking our favorite places are all within walking distance. If they're just out of that, we recommend the town trolley.

**House Rules**

We only expect guests to respect the home and the neighborhood. We've poured much of our lives, efforts, and talents into this house and we love every square inch of it. It's an extension of our family in a lot of ways, but we also love the idea of sharing that beyond ourselves. We are very open to unusual requests or events, just please ask! And while we love furry friends - we also have severe allergies - so please respect the no smoking and no pet policy.

Cozy cottage for small family, two couples or just to get away.

  • 4 of 5

We did not get to enjoy the back yard since we were worn out from playing hard all day (or, trying to keep up w/an 8 year-old), but the home was very comfortable. Cute historic house, and close to several shopping:eating opportunities.

We drove to beaches north (Venice Beach for sharks' teeth hunting) and south (Sanibel/Captiva Islands for she'll collecting), and even squeezed in a day of fishing around Pine Island. Wish we'd had more time and might have tried fossil hunting on the Peace River.

House was a great home base!

The location of this cottage was great. We walked everywhere. Mr.Moss took care of a refrigerator problem even though he was in Hawaii. Fishermen's village with shops and restaurants was a short walk away. Many things going on in the area. The cottage could use a few more pans, dishes, ect. but for a month it was o.k. I would recommend this little cottage.
