Hubby and I got married in 2003 in Gatlinburg. We fell in love with the mountains. We traveled back to Gatlinburg for our first anniversary in 2004. Unfortunately, we have not been back there until we purchased this condo in October 2018. Boy did we miss the area. We hope you enjoy your stay as much as we do.

Great Family Getaway
We had a wonderful time. Check in was super easy. Property was exactly as described. Well accommodated our family of 9. Beds were super comfortable. Unit was super clean. Added unexpected bonus was that both showers had shampoo, conditioner, body wash dispensers filled which made things easier. The view from the balcony was beautifully breathtaking. The kids enjoyed having the option of indoor and outdoor swimming. As stated the wifi didnt work for us at all. But it was nice to get the kids off phones for a bit. The TVs worked great with lots of channels. Kitchen was small but had everything we needed. We cant wait to return.
We enjoyed the stay very much. The beds were comfortable, the views were amazing, the location was pretty easy access to Gatlinburg and the park, the pool and hot tub were nice, and there were ample amenities.
However, there were a few hangups (cleaning was inconsistent, communication was sometimes challenging) and some things that would frustrate some people (e.g., VERY poor internet/cellular connection, windy roads up the mountain, three flights up stairs with no elevator, TVs didn't really work well).
Overall, we would probably stay again
Eric did provide info as to cleaning, which has been addressed with cleaning service. I’m not sure to what communications he’s referring. I responded to him very quickly with any questions or comments he had.
I am aware of the poor WiFi service which is provided by the Condo Association. Hopefully this will be addressed st our annual owners’ meeting. As far as the TVs not working, Eric advised it was the tv remote, not TVs. I’m sure adding new batteries will solve the problem.
Charming condo with a beautiful view
We stayed in this condo for my children's winter break. We had 2 teenagers and 2 tweens. They loved the loft space. The cabin had a great view off the deck. The kitchen was well stocked. The beds were very comfortable. We would definitely stay here again.

Overall the location is good, but beware (like many places in Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge) that the climb to the top of the mountain is steep! In any inclement weather at all, you will need 4 wheel drive. Also, note this condo is on the 3rd floor and there is no elevator access.
I thought the aesthetics of the condo could have been better. There are many empty hooks on the walls where pictures used to hang. I had never seen kitchen appliances so old, and the kitchen was extremely small to cook in if you indeed had 8-9 people. The loft is open to the kitchen/living room as well so plan accordingly if you have small children you wanted to sleep up there. In addition, to get up to the loft there are stairs that are very steep and winding and small children could easily fall.
I slept on the King bed with two children and it was very comfortable. However, my family members slept in the remaining beds and pull-out couch and thought all of them were extremely uncomfortable.
The WiFi is definitely spotty and during peak nighttime hours, did not seem to work at all. The indoor pool/hot tubs was probably the best part of the entire place and we spent the majority of our time there. The owner, Christine, was very kind and accommodating and answered any of our questions promptly. Overall, I think some TLC and less people (even though it can technically sleep 9) would have made for a better experience.
When a future guest reads this guest’s review, please take into consideration ALL the other guests’ reviews, as well as consider this is a “condo”, which condos don’t have huge full size kitchens. It’s located at the Summit, hence the name “Summit at Gatlinburg”.
While I do agree the mountain road to our condo is steep (after all it is a mountain road), this is something over which condo owners have no control. The fact the condo is on the 3rd floor, with no elevator access, is clearly set out in the HomeAway property description. Again, this is something over which condo owners have no control.
We just recently purchased this condo unit, so we are in the process of remodeling. Prior to accepting the first guest booking, we purchased brand new mattresses for all the beds, so by this guest stating the king was “very comfortable”, but all the others were “extremely uncomfortable” is mind-boggling. All the mattresses, king, two queens and a twin, are exactly the same brand and model. This is the only guest to complain about the mattresses - all others stating they were very comfortable.
The loft area (loft being defined as an open area/room) is above the living room area and access is by a circular stairway, as shown in the property photos.
We have removed multiple pictures from the walls because they were obviously old, ragged, and had nothing to do with a mountain condo. In hind sight, we should have removed the hangers. We are in the process of replacing the pictures. We are also in the process of updating the dishwasher and stove as they are older model appliances, but are in perfect working order.
We do agree with the WiFi comment - this service is provided by the Condo Association and does need upgrading. From recent Association correspondence, this is currently under review. As owners, we will review our options to improve this service.
I’m sorry this guest felt the necessity to leave only a 3-star review over some things that we can’t control. This guest never contacted me or responded to any of the HomeAway communications sent. One party member did contact me asking for property address and door code (which had previously been provided to the booking guest by email). This guest booked as 4 adults and 4 children. This condo easily accommodates this type of party.
Perfect family getaway!
Very clean, comfortable beds and the kids loved the loft! The kids also enjoyed the pool and hot tubs in the evenings. We could see the ball drop in downtown Gatlinburg (on New Years) from the parking lot. We would definitely stay here again!
