This is a home that we enjoy ourselves and care for very much. We do not allow for parties or guests beyond what is stated at the time of booking. Please see the rental agreement for more specifics.
Can we move in we loved the place! We truly enjoyed our stay. The owner, Nathan was very attentive to my inquiries prior to and during our stay. There were so many amenities and attention to details that it is hard to list all the little things provided for us that we did not expect but I'll try.
Because the limbs from the trees were cut we had an excellent view of the lake and mountains from all the rooms except the ground floor. We enjoyed the two front decks. The table and chairs were comfortable and we spent several nights watching the sunset there. We live in the city and the quietness of the location was very relaxing. We loved the Adirondack chairs which all had leg rests and the chimea was cute and functional. The grill came in handy we cooked on it several nights
My husband who likes to cook gave the kitchen two thumbs. It was spacious, well laid out and well supplied with all necessities and then some. I especially enjoyed the Keurig coffee machine
The pantry was well stocked with garbage bags, plastic wrap, foil, paper cups plate napkin, and plastic containers. The dining room table was spacious.
The living room chairs and couch were very comfortable. I loved the gray rug there because it was soft and looked great with the chairs. There was even a lighter, fire starter, matches, and logs by fireplace. The sun porch was very inviting and the couch was comfortable enough for me to take a nap.
The bedrooms were spacious comfortable and had great views except the entry level room. We enjoyed the high end touches like the soft sheets, blankets, and comforters. I loved the large closets with shelving and nice hangers especially the walk in master closet that had a line of hooks along the wall.
We were grateful for the strategically placed night lights in hall ways and bathrooms.
There were plenty of bathrooms. Two of three full bathrooms had small seats in the shower and the top floor bathroom had a toilet and shower separated from double sinks by a pocket door, which was handy for multiple users. The half bath was conveniently located on the main floor across from the laundry room. The bathrooms were also well supplied with toilet paper, body wash and hand soap as well as comfy bath rugs, soft towels and shower mats. There were plenty of towel racks and hooks.
It’s all the little touches like toothbrush holders and matching soap dispensers that made this a great place to stay. The only downside was the driveway which was steep.
We stayed at this lovely lake house for two weeks in mid-August 2016. It was the perfect spot for a summer getaway for our family of 6 (we have 4 young children) with plenty of extra room for grandma and grandpa and aunts and uncles and cousins to come and visit. The home is huge, spotlessly clean, well-maintained, comfortable, and very well-stocked. The view of the lake is breathtaking as the house is situated higher up on the hill than most; the lake can be seen from almost every room. Even on summer weekend days the area (street and lake) was very quiet; we felt like we had the entire lake to ourselves. Getting from the lake back up to the house is a bit of a hike with lots of stairs and a steep driveway. This didn't bother us however, as we were happy to have a natural barrier from the water with our small children. The small access road between the back of the house and the lake access is a non-issue (even with kids) as the street is small and sees very little traffic. Nathan was fantastic to work with - friendly, responsive, and extremely helpful. Any issue that came up during our stay (and there were very few) was addressed immediately. Can't say enough about this lovely home or the wonderful owner. Hope to be back again.
This house is absolutely beautiful! We had a wonderful time and home had everything we could have needed. Nathan was very informative and helpful. Can't wait to come back next year!
From the very beginning, I knew that Nathan was going to be a fantastic owner to work with. I must have sent him 8 different e-mails asking him about every amenity and location question that I had. I always received prompt and friendly responses, packed with great information answering my questions. We rented the house for a reunion in August with my two sisters and their families, and the 10 of us fit very comfortably in Nathan's beautifully furnished and decorated home. We are big cooks and we did a full shop for groceries on our way to the house so that we wouldn't have to leave the property too many times during the week. The kitchen was the best equipped kitchen that I have ever seen in a rental home (and I have rented many properties over the years!). Sharp knives, baking sheets, top of the line cookware, a high end, powerful grill - the list goes on. The prevailing trend in Nathan's home is that everything is of high quality. We really felt like we were staying in a gorgeous friend's home, not a rental property. One of the best features of the home is that the views of the lake are enjoyed in every room on the main floor of the house. Whether you are in the kitchen preparing a meal, sitting in the sun room reading a book, or playing a board game in the family room - the views are outstanding from every room. It felt like we were in a bird's nest way up high. The price for that view is a steep climb up and down to the water, but it was nothing that fit adults and kids can't handle. The dock is nice and big with plenty of square footage for the fishermen and the swimmers in our family to enjoy. We used the 2 paddle boards every day and the canoe was a big bonus for more exploring. We decided to rent a pontoon boat for one day from a local marina and I highly recommend that experience. It was a highlight of our week and Nathan has a raft with the appropriate rope to attach to the boat, so all we had to do was attach it to the boat and we had a fun day of tubing on the gorgeous lake. The clarity of the water was superb and it was so peaceful. Don't hesitate to book this property. The owner is honest, easy to work with and the property and views are outstanding. You won't be disappointed.
This is a wonderful house. It’s new, well-designed, and perfect for privacy or socializing. It’s a well-thought out space. Nathan was great to deal with from beginning to end.
We were a family group of 10. The seniors, my husband and myself, stayed in the level entry bedroom, downstairs from the main level. Our two daughters, their husbands and kids, age 7-15, stayed in the other bedrooms. The 10 of us only get together twice a year so our choice is important and this house exceeded our expectations.
On the main level is a living room that is big enough for all of us to watch movies, the kitchen, dining area, and a beautiful sun room.
A few step up in another living room with TV.
A pleasant surprise was the complete set of good cookware, not the random assortment usually found in rentals.
The views are awesome from several rooms and attached decks.
The lake here is clear, and even the 7 year old, who is only accustomed to swimming pools didn’t hesitate to plunge in. We rented a pontoon boat and spent one day on the lake. We brought tubes and with the provided paddle boards and canoe, everyone was happy and busy.
Nearby is CMAC, Constellation Brands-Marvin Sands Performing Arts Center (CMAC), Dave Matthews was playing while we were there (sold out) and Bob Dylan is scheduled for July 12. Other acts this summer include Jeff Beck, Lyle Lovett, Emmylou Harris.
Our family had an amazing time and are so glad we chose this house.
What a great weekend - we rented the property for a family weekend and everything was truly perfect. It was extremely easy to book and Nathan was very helpful. The home itself is in great condition - well furnished and every detail was thought out. There was plenty of space for all 9 of us, we never felt on top of one another. The lake is pristine - warm, clear and very enjoyable. We spent most of our time by the water and quite frankly didn't want to leave.
The most important part for me was that the home was impeccably clean. We hope to be back again!
This property is located in the middle of the Finger Lakes wine region. There are many wineries in a 60 mile radius of our home.
