Sand Castle II, #404 was a very nice accommodation with great accomodations for our winter getaway!
This rental would be ideal for families with young or teen children, couples and was nice for us 3 ladies. We each had our own bedroom. Kitchen had most items to make good meals. We liked the grill that was available also. Always good to have 2 bathrooms, and the living space was comfortable. Our favorite sitting was the balcony, with the beautiful view and amazing sunsets. The pool was clean and warm, and the location was great for walkability to nice restaurants, live music, quick shopping needs and just taking a walk. Also close to other beaches, shopping and dining. We hope to go back😊�

Location location location!! Had everything we needed! It was great having beach towels and so many chairs to use! The mattresses could use upgraded though! Thanks Pam for a great stay!!
Condo is beautifully furnished. Beds were Awesome. Listen to the waves from the master bedroom. Watch dolphins from.the balcony. Swim in the large heated pool. Soak in the hot tub. Walk across the street for great local seafood. Get the picrure?

Beautiful and up to date condo. Pam does a great job and makes sure everything is perfect for your stay. Located in a perfect location and has a huge beach. Everyone is friendly and there to have a beautiful vacation. Was great for my family with 2 young kids.
At the risk of a minimizing rebuttal from the owner, I write this to warn future renters. Honestly, I'd rather forget this few days ever happened, but I feel a certain responsibility to clarify a couple of things for you concerning what "being worked on" really meant for us.
I read the listing that said there would be "work done" while we were there (Sept-Dec 2019) on the balcony, air conditioning and "closet on balcony". The deep discount drew me, and not being able to use the balcony or pool, while inconvenient, seemed worth it.
Boy was I wrong. Unfortunately we awoke Mon morning at 8:45 am to jackhammering on the outside of the building very close. It went on for 4 hours straight then off and on. I contacted the owner and she said she "told me it would be noisy at times" and said she "stayed the week before" and "you can't hear the jackhammering at the beach". Jackhammering wasn't ever mentioned before then. Vague descriptions aside, it was jackhammering. The building was uninhabitable to me and my family. I wish I would have know there would be jackhammering. I never would have rented. For the trouble, the upset, sadness, and cost of re-renting a place-losing a day in the process (that I was also charged for), it wasn't worth it to me. I felt stupid for my optimism. Renter beware.
In all fairness, I posted the following in the VRBO/HomeAway listing: "*** Huge discount, $75/night due to balcony closet work being done and not available for use, nor the pool area, however the Pool and Hot tub next door is available (easy extra 1 minute walk) Aug 24 - Nov 1 ***". Before I accept each reservation, I call the guest and explain, explicitly, the work being done and why the price is 2/3 off and what the cancellation policy is so that there are no surprises. This project started mid August and you can see from this listing's reviews, that all of my other guests were happy and not surprised by the noise that was temporary and intermittent. The style and atmosphere of the condo was nice. We did hit a snag that we were able to resolve quickly with property owner. We all really enjoyed our stay. The view was spectacular!

I went beyond the cancellation policy and refunded the remainder of the week (4 nights) to these guests, since the mother-in-law was so unhappy and demanded a refund and to leave. Perhaps Melanie omitted to the rest of the family the details of our phone conversation as to why the rate was deeply discounted. This left me the impossible situation of being unable to rent the remainder of the week on such short notice. However, since I was kind enough to refund and allow this cancellation, I believe that I deserve a much better rating than a one star. I try very hard to please everyone and respond immediately to communications and requests. I've been pleasing guests since 2001. Pam
