About this property

Charming Cottage In St. Augustine Historic District

After spending some time in St. Augustine, our family fell in love with the city and wanted our own piece of this historical gem. While we’d love to enjoy our charming cottage year round, “real life” calls in another state and we’ve decided to share it with others.
Located in historic downtown St. Augustine, close to the hustle and bustle, but nestled in a peaceful neighborhood called Lincolnville, this vacation rental is waiting for your arrival! Walk or bike to the fantastic attractions St. Augustine offers. For those who enjoy dining out, we are very close to hip new restaurants such as Blue Hen (fabulous breakfast and lunch- five minute walk) and Ice Plant (cocktails, lunch, dinner-10 minute walk).
This charming 3 bedroom/2 bath cottage provides our guests a retreat with a true neighborhood feel. With an open concept kitchen and living area, the cottage offers an airy and inviting space great for relaxing with family and friends.
There is plenty of storage space as each room has a closet and dresser and guests will find a spacious king sized bed in the master, two twin beds in the second bedroom, and a queen size bed in the third bedroom. Full-sized washer and dryer are provided as well. Families traveling with little ones will find a pack and play and high chair stored in the closet of the master bedroom. When not sightseeing or shopping in town, relax outdoors either on the front porch or on the private back patio where guests can grill and dine al fresco, or just kick back with a book.
For those who enjoy swimming there is a neighborhood pool (open Memorial Day through Labor Day) located just down the street from the cottage as well as a playground, basketball courts and walking paths.
This cute cottage is a great choice for those who want to explore historical St. Augustine without sacrificing the comforts of an inviting home.

A great place to stay!
We booked the Hoffmann Haus for a four day stay in St Augustine as a contrast to 10 days in Orlando. Situated within the historic and still authentic Lincolnville District, the cottage was in superb condition and suited our family of 4 well. The interior was comfortable and spotless, the kitchen large and very well stocked with those important items and occasional food stuffs that make your stay that bit more easier (great when our usual experience is of bare cupboards). The three rooms were well appointed and stylish and very comfortable. Instructions were clear and concise and overall the experience of dealing with the owners has been warm and trouble free. Its location is a 10 minute walk from the main street (King Street) where you find restaurants, shops and the historic attractions. As fans of history, it was a superb little city to learn about and staying opposite the Civil Rights House where MLK stayed was quite something. Other than a brief trip to the supermarket, the car did not to move for 3 days with everything we did and saw within walking distance or easily accessible by the red trains. Overall, a great stay and would recommend the property and the owner to any of our friends. Thanks again!

Best stay ever
We have been visiting Saint Augustine for 35 years and have stayed in different rental properties. This is the best place we ever stayed and can’t wait to return. The owner was awesome.

Exceeded My Expectations!
I spent 2 weeks in this charming cottage. The first week was spent with my 3 sisters and the second week was with 2 friends. This cottage could not have been more perfect for our vacation! It was immaculate, well maintained, and had all of the amenities you could ask for. The first week was a slow-roll mornings, shopping, walking, eating out, and hanging out at the cottage. There were 3 bedrooms that accommodated our needs perfectly. The kitchen was very well equipped. The porch and patio were perfect for having our morning coffee or evening glass of wine. The beds were very comfortable, and we all had a place to escape when we needed time to ourselves. The second week was more about sightseeing and learning about the history of the area. There is a lot to see and do within walking distance including museums, tourist attractions, shopping, and restaurants. We did not have a car and between walking and the Get-on Get-off Trolley, we could access everything we wanted to. We flew into Jacksonville and had no trouble using an Uber for transportation to and from the airport. Publix Instacart delivery for groceries was excellent. The restaurants in the area were fabulous and we went to several of them 2 or 3 times. I would highly recommend Saint Augustine and specifically this cottage for a wonderful get-away.

Wonderful Wedding weekend
We were here for our grandsons wedding. Couldn't have been happier for the home and the location. We were close to all venues and family. Thank you Meredith for answering all my questions in a timely manner as we had never rented a home before this.

We are a German/American family of five who love to travel and enjoy the beach. Having lived in exotic places of the world such as Hawaii and Thailand, then to Birmingham, AL and currently Austin, TX. In the springtime, we spent a lot of time in St. Augustine when my husband was placed there temporarily for work. With three children ages 11 and under, we found St. Augustine to be a wonderful, family-friendly getaway and we wanted a piece of it.
