About the property

3 Bedroom, 2 Bath Cottage In Lincolnville Neighborhood Of Historic St. Augustine

** Check out our special rates for September**

After recently spending some time in St. Augustine, our family fell in love with the city and wanted our own piece of this historical gem. While we’d love to enjoy our charming cottage year round, “real life” calls in another state and we’ve decided to share it with others.

Located in historic downtown St. Augustine, close to the hustle and bustle, but nestled in a peaceful neighborhood called Lincolnville, this new vacation rental is waiting for your arrival! Walk or bike to the fantastic attractions St. Augustine offers. For those who enjoy dining out, we are very close to hip new restaurants such as Blue Hen (fabulous breakfast and lunch- five minute walk) and Ice Plant (cocktails, lunch, dinner-10 minute walk).

This newly constructed and charming 3 bedroom/2 bath cottage provides our guests a retreat with a true neighborhood feel. With an open concept kitchen and living area, the cottage offers an airy and inviting space great for relaxing with family and friends.

There is plenty of storage space as each room has a closet and dresser and guests will find a spacious king sized bed in the master, two twin beds in the second bedroom, and a queen size bed in the third bedroom. Full-sized washer and dryer are provided as well. Families traveling with little ones will find a pack and play and high chair stored in the closet of the master bedroom. When not sightseeing or shopping in town, relax outdoors either on the front porch or on the private back patio where guests can grill and dine al fresco, or just kick back with a book.

For those who enjoy swimming there is a complimentary neighborhood pool (open Memorial Day through Labor Day) located just down the street from the cottage as well as a playground, basketball courts and walking paths.

This cute cottage is a great choice for those who want to explore historical St. Augustine without sacrificing the comforts of an inviting home.

About Meredith Hoffmann

We are a German/American family of five who love to travel and enjoy the beach. Having lived in exotic places of the world such as Hawaii and Thailand, we recently settled in the Birmingham, AL. In the springtime, we spent a lot of time in St. Augustine when my husband was placed there temporarily for work. With three children ages 11 and under, we found St. Augustine to be a wonderful, family-friendly getaway and we wanted a piece of it.

The house is just the right size for 4-6 people. I loved the neighborhood, rich in history

We were pleasantly surprised by this neighborhood we didn't know existed. We could walk and see amazing houses from the civil rights era, or walk to the historical district.

The house itself is new, bright and clean, stocked with everything we needed. So nice to enjoy being together, a nice beer and chunk of fudge to greet us. Nice touches!

PLUS: Wonderful home. Brand new feel. Neighbor is the greatest. Gave me a ton of good information. Well stocked kitchen. Was very nice to be able to walk into kitchen and grab what was needed. Needed some honey and cinnamon. Looked into the pantry and there they were. Wonderful comfortable home. Great distance from everything in historic district. We were able to walk to everything. We were there at the busiest time of year. New Years so this was huge as parking was a minor nightmare. The lady in charge of home was wonderful, easy to reach and very receptive. Same goes for owner. The blue hen has great breakfast with very friendly staff.

Negative: Neighborhood was a bit rough. Some seriously dilapidated homes. Neighborhood wasn't as upscale as the home.

Wonderful place to stay in the heart of St Augustine

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at Hoffman Haus on a recent trip to the St Augustine area for a wedding. The home was located in a friendly quaint neighborhood within walking distance of most attractions in St Augustine. The accommodations fit our family well - 3 bedrooms, 2 baths. We had two couples and two young boys. The house appeared to be either recently renovated or new construction. It is a compliment to the owner that we could not tell the difference. The owner was very responsive and accommodating.

Great place that worked well for us. There was even a Pokestop right across the street ! If we had any complaints it was the cable did not have the Golf Channel not that I had time to watch it with so much to see in St Augustine.

A great place to stay!

  • 5 of 5

We booked the Hoffmann Haus for a four day stay in St Augustine as a contrast to 10 days in Orlando.

Situated within the historic and still authentic Lincolnville District, the cottage was in superb condition and suited our family of 4 well. The interior was comfortable and spotless, the kitchen large and very well stocked with those important items and occasional food stuffs that make your stay that bit more easier (great when our usual experience is of bare cupboards). The three rooms were well appointed and stylish and very comfortable. Instructions were clear and concise and overall the experience of dealing with the owners has been warm and trouble free. Its location is a 10 minute walk from the main street (King Street) where you find restaurants, shops and the historic attractions. As fans of history, it was a superb little city to learn about and staying opposite the Civil Rights House where MLK stayed was quite something. Other than a brief trip to the supermarket, the car did not to move for 3 days with everything we did and saw within walking distance or easily accessible by the red trains. Overall, a great stay and would recommend the property and the owner to any of our friends. Thanks again!
