This spacious 1450 sq. feet, 2 bedroom/2 bathroom home was fully renovated to have a modern, open, functional feel, but holding on to the New Orleans charm. Luxury hotel amenities, fully stocked kitchen, dining table for 10 people, wonderful workspace, comfortable designer queen beds, private bathrooms and bedrooms, and a wonderful private patio. Bayou St. John is a wonderful neighborhood, centrally located, two blocks from the beautiful Bayou (stream) that leads directly into City Park. Walk to Jazzfest, within minutes to the French Quarter, Uptown, & the Lower Garden District.

The house opens up to a large, spacious living, entertaining and dining space. Ten feet ceilings throughout the house creates an open and spacious setting. The living room has one futon couch that fold down into a twin size bed.

The kitchen has new and modern appliances with a dining space for up to 10 guests. Kitchen is fully stocked with plates, silverware, glasses, french press and cuisinart coffee maker, microwave, dishwasher, gas stove and oven, pots and pans, and cooking tools.

The guest bedroom has a queen size bed, with a large closet. There is a queen and twin air mattresses available, if needed. The guest bathroom is located across the hallway.

In between the guest and master bedroom is a wonderful workspace for those looking to get some work done while in town. Flanked by two bookshelves, the workspace has a black granite countertop and a very comfortable herman miller chair.

The master bedroom located at the back of the house is quiet and peaceful. It has a queen size bed and opens to the back deck through french doors. The master has a large hd tv with cable. The bedroom gets a lot of light due to the horizontal windows above the french doors, perfect for morning people. The large walk in closet leads into the bathroom, with a wonderful glass enclosed shower.

Outdoor space: guests can enjoy the gas grill, vintage bar, and plenty of cushioned seating.

Please take care of my home as if it were your own. Please respect the neighbors and keep noise levels to a minimum during late night hours.

No smoking inside the house. Smoking is allowed on the front porch and back deck (ashtrays provided). No pets.

Amazing Stay in a Great Location

We decided to rent a home instead of trying to deal with the hustle and bustle of a hotel. This home was amazing! It was as advertised and more. The owner was gracious enough to allow us some flexibility with checking in, as we were driving down and got into the city early! In addition, we were provided with all the essentials needed when staying somewhere! We were less than 10 minutes from the quarter and it was a really quick Uber/Lyft ride away ($8 - $10) rides. The amenities were on point with the semi-private patio, the extra towels, the soaps in the kitchen and bathrooms, the extra paper items (cups, towels, toilet paper). I've stayed in several homes before and some of not all of these items you would need to bring with you or buy when you arrive. The owner makes everything super easy and very accommodating.

If I had to pick something to say it needs upgraded, it would be the shower heads in the bathrooms. The bathrooms are very very nice, but the shower heads themselves appear to be a little older and could have more pressure for us girls to get our products out of our hair. However, it does the job decently well.

We would definitely recommend this place to others and would most definitely return on our next trip to New Orleans.

A Wonderful Just Like Home Experience

This was by far our best experience with VRBO/Homeaway which we use all the time when travelling. The house is exactly as shown beautiful inside and out , spacious, well decorated , well stocked with the essentials needed when renting and most of all very clean. But what made our experience a 5+ was Ninh the owner. He went above and beyond and made us feel extremely welcome in his rental home. The home is situated in a great location for exploring New Orleans everything very close. I would highly recommend a car rental and parking was not a problem just outside the house. If you are truly looking for a flawless home rental experience in New Orleans this is your spot.

Very impressive house, great location!

The stay with Ninh was fantastic, he left us instructions for everything we could need once we got there, as well as gave us suggestions for local places to try. Ubers were cheap and about 10 minutes to downtown. Highly suggest!!!!

Bayou st. John is a wonderful neighborhood adjacent to the bayou, in the heart of the city. You will be less than a 10 minute drive to the French Quarter, Frenchmen street, the Marigny, the Superdome, downtown and warehouse district, and a 15 minute walk to the fairgrounds and jazz fest, City Park/voodoo fest, ostrich race, voodoo festival, seafood festival, boudin festival, new orleans museum of art, st. Louis cemetery #3, and 1 block to the endymion parade route.

Less than a mile from the house are several grocery stores: Wholefoods. Canseco's Esplanade Market, and Rouses on Carrollton. There is a huge market on Carrollton that has CVS, restaurants, bars, grocery stores. Parkway Bakery and Tavern (Best Po-boys in the City), Pal's Lounge (neighborhood bar), and Bayou Wine and Beer Garden is walking distance from the house.

For the active traveler, the Bayou and City Park are perfect locations to kayak, paddle board, run, and bike. My house is 2 blocks from the Bayou.

Local developers are going to renovate the beautiful, former school building, and convert them into high end apartments. They are starting some sporadic construction but during the normal 8-4 schedule and aren't suppose to work on weekends.
