The perfect place!

  • 5 of 5

This was the perfect place for a long weekend for four women who have been friends for over 50 year. We were very pleased! It is close to everything! We only cooked one breakfast there and ate out the rest of the time, but we found everything we needed in the kitchen to make breakfast. I am so glad a light was installed above the dining room table as it was perfect place for us to play games there. When we had a question about something I just texted Tonya and she replied right away. it was kind of chilly in the evenings outside when we were there, but the fireplace was perfect for making it nice and cozy. I did not sleep upstairs, but the three others did and all said it was fine.I decided to sleep downstairs so that I didn't have to take my suitcase upstairs. My bed was nice and comfy! I know someone else had mentioned the fact that it is hard to make the downstairs room private and I would agree. The problem is that the door between the bedroom and the kitchen won't stay closed. it would be nice if there was a latch put in. However, I just went in the kitchen and closed the door and put the trash can in front of it to hold that door more closed even though I still couldn't get it all the way closed. Then I went around through the other door and closed it. It worked well enough. For all of the plusses this place has, this little inconvenience is minor. One other suggestion from someone in the group was that while everything was super nice and clean, the sheets seemed overly scented and she said that if someone in her family had been there they would have had to have washed the sheets first because of allergies to so much scent. There is a washer and dryer so that could be done if needed. If are looking for a place that is good for several people to have their own bedroom space and yet also gather as a group, we all highly recommend Barn Treasures and appreciate having been able to spend a wonderful weekend in this beautiful old home!

Wonderful scrapbooking weekend with friend!

  • 5 of 5

This home is perfect for a girls scrapbooking weekend! Plenty of room in the living area to set up tables and crafting supplies. Ramp into home with wide doorways makes carrying supplies in and out easy and accessible. Very short walk to everything in town. Always visit the coffee shop nearby for great coffee and pastries. Full kitchen is great for making meals, and bedrooms are roomy.
