Large waterfront cottage located on on the St. Lawrence River on beautiful Tibbetts Point not far from the lighthouse. Memories to last a life time with all the comforts of home. Three bedrooms, two full baths, furnished, also a fully equipped kitchen. Charcoal grill, picnic tables adirondack chairs, large yard for all your outdoor activities. Whats not to do? Take a ferry ride to Kingston Canada, Alexandria bay for shopping & Uncle Sam boat tours of the thousand islands. Explore Boldt Castle. Great history behind it. Go-karts, miniature golf, whitewater river rafting, bike tours, fishing charters, museums, and more. Pirate week at Alexandria bay. Cape Vincent home to the French festival. Or just do nothing! Relax. Now that's an idea. Just watch the ships go by from outside or outside your window. We have another cottage for rent on the same property for large groups.
Our parents purchased this cottage back in 1977, almost 40 years ago. They wanted
a place to take their family and friends on a vacation. Just a short three hour drive from
their hometown of Rochester, NY. Just about every weekend we would all pile into the car
and off to the cottage we would go. We had a blast here. With tons of things to do we were
never bored. And when we had to leave we just couldn't wait to get back here again.
Now we are bringing are our kids here, and our kids are bringing their kids here.
Diane purchased this cottage in 1977
Mom always said this is just a little piece of heaven. She loved it here. Mom and Dad
wanted a safe place for their family to vacation. This was perfect for small children.
The cottage has a very large yard to play in, and it sits back from the quiet road.
A place to swim and ride our bikes, have cook-outs and gathering with family members.
Did I mention it's on the water? Great views with lots to do in the area. What's not to love?
Just take a look at my pictures. You'll get the idea.
We are sorry to see the week end because we have had such a wonderful time in the 1000 Islands. Swimming, boating, kayaking, touring and geocaching kept 4 small children busy and happy. The cottage is very nice inside and comes with all you need to enjoy your stay. Plenty of windows in front to let in the breeze. All you have to do is bring your food. Cottage sleeps 8, with 3 beds, a roll away, and air mattresses but 8 adults would have a hard time. Small children make it much easier to sleep 8. Our family had 4 adults and 4 children.
We visited Canada, Cape Vincent, Clayton, Alex Bay, Lake Ontario and went to Southwicks State Park for their sandy beach.
My only wish is that the cottage had a front porch with a roof to block the sun since the afternoon sun can be a scorcher.
We were very impressed with the size of the cottage and property! The cottage was very clean and well stocked with kitchen utensils, appliances, towels and even a charcoal grill! Access to the river was just across the street which was awesome with a toddler and baby! Stores were close and it was a beautiful walk to the lighthouse! It was very nice to meet the owner and communication was superb... Very relaxing and definitely a place we will be going to again! I would highly recommend it to anyone!
Diane and her sister are the sweetest hostesses we have ever encountered!!! Cottage was exactly what we needed and beatifully located!!! It was clean and had everything we could have asked for! Definitely want to come back again!!!!

Ont he quiet side of the Thousand Islands lies Cape Vincent and Tibbets Point. With a lighthouse that is a quarter mile walk, the sunsets are fabulous, the views gorgeous and the place a great location for quiet reflection and relaxation. The property is deceiving as there are two full bathrooms and three bedrooms. Not large, but much larger than one might think from the photos. Everything included (except a teapot), but easily remedied by boiling water in a pot. The property is very clean and well maintained. And as I said, a best kept secret. My family and I can't wait to come back!
Great vacation getaway! Cottage was very clean and well kept. Walking distance to the lighthouse and beautiful views. Peaceful and relaxing. I would come back here next year.
Wonderful location for sightseeing and for total relaxation. Cottage view is the St. Lawrence Seaway with Wolf Island, Canada across the way.Fantastic sunsets. Cottage was very clean and enjoyable to stay in. Walking distance to Tibbetts point lighthouse. 30 minutes by car to Alexandria Bay where we took the boat ride around the thousand islands, many shops and restaurants to enjoy. For all there is an aquarium, miniature golf, go carts and many extra activities. Clayton, the next town after Cape Vincent is 15 minutes by car, again, many restaurants and shops. Cape Vincent is 5 minutes from the cottage with supermarket, restaurants, gift shops and more. My family and I totally enjoyed our stay, the owners could not do enough for us. Highly recommend.......
