The place was absolutely everything as it was described. Corky (the owner) came by just minutes after check in to make sure everything was okay. Great guy! Very accommodating. The surroundings are beautiful and quiet. Saw a bunch of deer (glad my dog Ace did not!). Somebody has been looking at Pinterest….the place was so nicely decorated. Thank you for letting us stay.
Lovely little cottage
My family and I loved this cottage and it’s location. The owner is a sweetheart and stopped by to check to see if we needed anything. It was simple to find and there is a lot of property to take a walk on. We loved sitting out on the porch every morning and having our coffee and listening to the sounds of North Carolina. And it was so close to everything. And the place is so nicely decorated. It really is adorable. It was our home away from home for a week! I would highly recommend this lovely place to a small family!!!
A nice quiet spot, exactly what I needed.
Overall great stay. Thank you.
Peaceful and relaxing
It was a quiet and comfortable stay. The location is perfect, not to far from the beach. I would definitely recommend and stay here again
Nice Little Retreat
Good location and not too much of a drive to any town or beach that you would like to go to.
Looks better in the pictures
Going to the property can be confusing, the owners have a ton of RVs, old boat, and lots they rent out. I had to send a picture of where I was to know where this place was.
The small home is NOT insulated, so if you don’t run the one ac window unit and fans it will get extremely hot. When we walked in the house smelled of water damage and was extremely humid. The decor is beautiful, but the actual craftsmanship of the house was done poorly. The paint is just one layer (uneven) and it shows all of the dirty spots. The floors you can tell were wet, because they bubbled up at areas.
The owners did have the house stocked well. However, they never came for our dirty towels. We were there for 4 days, so having fresh linens at least once would have been nice. They pick and choose who they do those things for. If you have allergies and asthma I’d highly recommend spending the extra money on a hotel.
Hello Tanya! We would like to address your review. You are the first person to have had difficulty finding our property. Yes we do own land across the street from rental but the property that you stayed in was on 8 acres with none of the above listed. It has a house and one small other rental. Other than that the Old Rv's and old boat you mentioned were in the back of property across the street.
The house is fully insulated. This time of year you most definitely need to run the a/c full time. All of our other guest have said how cool the place is when a/c unit is run properly. Yes you need to cut the a/c down when you go in so then it will cut the humidity down. The house has never had water damage. As far as the craftsmanship goes that is opinion. We went for a rustic cottage decor. We whitewashed the floors and there were no bubbles. Did you look online at the pictures? That is exactly how the cottage looks. We certainly did not go for your dirty towels as you were not staying in a hotel.
Finally, I would like to address how you (owners pick and choose who they do things for) know that we do it for some of our customers and not others? We never even met you. Confused! I hope others can read past this nonsense and read our other guest reviews.
