Thanks for considering a Vacasa home! We provide full-service management for privately owned vacation homes, and like to think that we offer our guests the best of both worlds: the unique experience of staying in a one-of-a-kind vacation home, with the peace of mind that comes from knowing that the home you book for your special vacation is cared for by professional housekeepers and property managers.
Vacasa began in 2009, simply because our founder and CEO Eric wanted to find a better way to share his wife’s family’s summer home in Long Beach, Washington with guests as a vacation rental. Eric and his early team worked to build Vacasa on the premise that local employees can do what they love most (taking care of guests, homeowners, and properties), while the hands-off tasks of vacation rental management—things like marketing, filing taxes, and maintaining a website—could be handled by a specialized central support team.
Our passion is connecting travelers with the unique experience of staying in a vacation home, and we would be honored to be your host. Please contact us with any questions about this home—our team is standing by!
This is a great spot to go for the weekend or all week. It's private even tho it's in a group of townhouses. I would recommend this place to any friend or family.
Other than the TVs needing to be upgraded this place is flawless. I will stay here again in the future. Everything was just as advertised, highly recommended.
Overall it was great for our short weekend trip and very cost efficient.
Where shall I start...I think that I will begin by saying that the condo is nice and in a good location. it is a bit dated and has some age/wear and tear issues that could be addressed, but overall we enjoyed our trip.
My concerns are related to the ABSOLUTE lack of service to address issues that we encountered. The first issue is that the glass coffee pot had a hole in the bottom of it. The (very old) DVD player in the living did not work While we did not go to the beach to watch TV, we did have a toddler who has a bedtime routine that involves watching his favorite DVD as he falls asleep. While these are certainly not emergencies they are items that were offered in the posting as convenience items that played into our considerations when booking.
The emergency arose the next morning after our arrival. As we were cooking breakfast, we noticed that the water had stopped draining from the right side of the kitchen sink (garbage disposal side). I looked down and saw the water leaking from under the cabinet onto the floor. I emailed and then called Brittany (the local manager) at the number provided. I got her voicemail and left a message, also sending another email. After a couple of hours of no response, I called Vacasa directly. They took the information and said that they would call Brittany. About ten minutes later Vacasa called back and said that they too had been unable to reach Brittany but that they did leave her a message as well.
We went to the beach for a few hours and returned to find still no response from Brittany. I again called the Vacasa corporate number and they told me that they still had not heard from Brittany either. I voiced my concerns and they told me that they would work on resolving the matter. Shortly thereafter a plumber arrived at the unit. He worked on the issue and determined that the leak was coming from the disposal and that it could not be repaired but would require replacement. He called the company and they told him NOT to fix it. He said that they told him to find a pot or pan big enough to hold the water and put it under the cabinet, and to instruct us to only use the left side of the sink, and not to use the dishwasher because it tied into the same drain
I did not expect to be roughing it for $500. To this day (two weeks later) I have not heard a response from Vacasa or Brittany. The review that I left on their site edited out my comments. I would not recommend Vacasa for these reasons
The place we stayed at was everything I could have hoped for and more. I knew the location and area was going to be great but the rental property by far exceeded my expectations! Kitchen was stoked with absolutely everything we needed to cook and clean. The unit was VERY clean and was supplied with at least 40 towels! Overall, best place (especially for the price) on the island!!! A++
