Good place to relax and let the worries go
Cabin was awesome. Food in town is good and people are friendly.
The cabin was very clean, cute and cozy.we loved it-wish I owned it!!
Cozy, quiet, and absolutely beautiful!!
Everything about this delightful little cottage exceeded our expectations! We will definitely be returning!
Wonderful vacation stay
The cabin is spacious, comfortable and well appointed. Lake access is private and the site is very quiet. Great hiking is very close by, and it’s a great jumping off spot for day trips or access to back country routes to Forest Service or National Park trails. Also nice to just enjoy coffee and a book in solitude. Would recommend highly.
a literal breath of fresh air
This vacation rental is a real treat. The cottage is adorable and romantic, with a kitchen for making meals, a hot tub, and private lake access, where we enjoyed boating and paddle boarding. There's an abundance of gorgeous hiking nearby, and Port Townsend is only a 30 minute drive away if you enjoy dining and shopping. My only regret is that we couldn't stay longer!
Perfect cabin getaway
I love this little gem of a place. It’s meticulously maintained, with so many thoughtful details that make it inviting and cozy. It provides modern (quality!) appointments of a urban apartment but is nestled in the woods with your own fire pit, sitting area in front, and a hot tub (which happens to also be perfect for star gazing).
Also a great location to easily make day trips to the coast or mountains, although I often end up staying put enjoying the serenity of the location by paddling in the lake or reading.
I also love to cook and this kitcen has the best equipment and is well planned out.
I’ll be back.
Quilcene, Pearl of the Peninsula, is a tiny town with a big heart and a long history. Lake Leland is a small rural lake, on the edge of the Olympic National Forest, surrounded by trees and quiet homes. 5 mph speed limit on the lake means no noisy water toys, and a peaceful refuge for paddlers, swimmers, and anglers. Lake Leland offers year-round fishing for rainbow trout, large mouth bass, perch, crappie and bluegill. (State license required. A boat ramp is located at the county park. Due to steepness of our driveway, we don't recommend bringing towed boats down it.) Steamer clams and oysters are easy to collect near Linger-longer Road in Quilcene (about seven miles from Lake Leland). Hurricane Ridge is only an hour and a half away. It offers a raven's-eye view of the park, high-elevation hikes, and winter fun from sledding to cross-country skiing to snowshoeing. Nearby Quilcene Ranger Station provides maps and updates on hiking conditions for some of the most spectacular trails in the world.
