The http://www.aquamijas.com/en/ is a very large and very exciting water park for children and adults, no more than 10 minutes away, a Taxi ride would cost around 12 Euro each way, taxi rank outside the complex.

The Apartment and Your Arrival: The apartment is as other guests have commented 'A home from home without the rain'! It is a well furnished and equipped 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom en-suite 1st floor apartment. The location is Ideally located for beach, family and golfing holidays. You will be met at the apartment on arrival by our UK management team, who will show you the property and explain how everything works and where to park your car in the secure underground car park. They will also tell you how to ensure that you enjoy yourself and give you information on the local area. They will be on hand during your stay to offer help and advice. They can supply welcome packs for your arrival and help organise car hire, golf or airport transfer if required. We can let you know the cheapest flight and car rental websites that we use, you won't belive how much cheaper they are! We look forward to hearing from you.
The Complex: The complex has extensive well maintained and matured gardens, 2 large and 2 small pools, 2 tennis courts and 2 children's play areas. On site facilities include - supermarket, gift shop, newsagent, hairdresser, launderette, bar, bakery & Nik Nak Shop. At the side of the complex is an excellent Venta (Spanish restaurant, the best Onion soup).
La Hacienda de Mijas Golf is only a few minutes drive away from the extensive Myramar shopping complex, with an excellent Eroski supermarket, huge variety of stores and boutiques. Just a few minutes drive away is the Mijas Aquapark, Zoo (Sure hit for the kids) and the popular resort of La Cala de Mijas. The 'hollywood of Spain' Marbella and Puerto Banus are a mere 15 and 20 minute drive. Gibraltar is around a 1 hr 30 min drive and is a recommended visit. Due to it's location in the heart of 'Golf Valley', and it's proximity to the resorts of Fuengirola and La Cala de Mijas make La Hacienda an ideal destination for both golf and beach holidays.
The Wider Area: If you fancy going further afield, the regions of Granada, Cordoba, Sevilla and Rhonda - are well within aceptable travelling time from Mijas Golf. Closer to Mijas Golf are the beautiful mountain villages of Mijas and Benalmadena Pueblo, the lovely marinas of Benalmadena and of course the much loved Puerto Cabopino. There is a compulsory laundering and cleaning charge of £50 which we pay to our management team, this ensures a hassle free departure for you and that the apartment is as immaculately clean for the next guests as it was for you. Other properties charge £90 + and hide this in the price of the rental.

Hi we now live in Canada because we love snow and mosquitos!! We purchased our property off plan in 2003 and have been renting since 2007, we have enjoyed the experience. We have a great management company who look after it when we are not there and meet all our guests when they arrive, we could not do it without them. We have no idea why we bought in Spain, it seemed a good idea at the time! We liked the area and the fact it is very central to the whole of the Costa-Del-Sol. We may have had some wine that day also!
We chose this property because of the fantastic sunsets, gardens and central location to the Costa-Del-Sol beaches and main attaractions.

Really impressed with having someone around out on the complex. Howard was a
great help to us, very kindly bought us across DVD,s and scrabble etc for
the children. He informed us of where the supermarkets, restaurants etc

We have just returned from a most pleasant stay at this apartment. If I'm honest, my expectations were low due to the reasonable price. How wrong I was. Much closer to fuengirola than I expected (would highly recommend a car though), therefore close to shopping, beaches etc. Not sure Drew sells the area well enough!! There is a mini mart, an excellent beauty salon, and a couple of bars all within a 1 minute walk, not to mention the apartment itself. It is very well appointed with most things you'd need, including a full sky TV package. The balcony got all the afternoon sun right up until it set. However the absolute jewel in the crown are the communal areas. They are so well tended to, full time gardener and a couple of cleaners. The pools were quiet and very clean, just fab! We were so chuffed with the value for money, excellent tv (travelled with 3 kids) and especially the grounds, that we booked for next year whilst still there - no greater endorsement than that!!

A hire car is needed to get about, but taxi is cheep so not a big issue if you want to laze at the pool!

The apartment was equipped with everything we needed including UK TV with sport, which is a bonus. Spacious, comfortable seating and beds, unoverlooked at the back from the balcony. We used this as a base for cycling so it was ideally situated on the edge of town, but close enough for all amenities. Drew was very helpful, providing all the necessary information and responding very quickly to emails. Heather also helpful, available and on hand if we needed her, although we had no problems during our stay.
The whole complex is clean, tidy and well maintained, we would stay again if we return to this area.
It was within a gated security complex, a lot of properties had locals staying so knew it would be OK.all very friendly and helpful especially Isobel a resident who came to our aid when we experienced some problems.
Apartment as described was very good in afternoon as was south facing, so we could utilise the balcony.all appliances worked as was ideal as a base for the golf course and a little further for the nearest beach approx 5k but did not in any way alter our experience, we had a vehicle and also wished to explore so not a problem

Mijas Golf is a 25 minute transfer from Malaga Airport and approximately a 5 minute drive to the popular resorts of Fuengirola and La Cala de Mijas. Fuengirola has a very large beach, with a fantastic selection of diverse restaurants and bars (Fish ally) and many other appealling family facilities - such as the highly aclaimed Fuengirola zoo and the popular Mijas Aquapark. The beautiful white village of Mijas is a 10 minute drive from the complex, this is a must see. Marbella, Puerto Banus and Benalmadena have fabulous Marinas, excellent gastronomic restaurants, trendy boutiques and exciting nightlife, all just a short drive from the complex.
