Location location location. Near downtown Asheville, Blue Ridge Parkway, Arboretum, Pisgah forest hiking (from the back door) and mountain biking , and outlet shopping. The house was impeccably decorated, clean and very comfortable with extra amenities. Don’t be discouraged when you see a gravel road. It is short, easy to drive on, and the house is surprisingly beautiful.
Great house and location if you are looking to enjoy everything the mountains and town has to offer!
Very new and clean house with all the amenities necessary to enjoy a short or long stay. We loved the fact that we could hike right out our door into the beautiful woods behind the house. Quite location easily accessible to town and all sightseeing activities. We would stay there again!
Nice home in an unfortunate location
This is a nice home located down a very dark, windy, gravel road. To get to the house, you have to pass a sewage treatment plant and abandoned trailers. Once you make the final curve, there's a steep banked gravel parking area that is absent of any lighting. The pictures in the posting are taken on the backside of the house, from the woods, which make this location look much more appealing than it really is. The house was clean and well stocked with basic needs. The only trouble we had in the home was the water backs up in the showers every time you use them. This house might be ok for a group of adults that just want a nice place to stay but don't care about the location. I would not recommend this location for a family especially if you want to spend any time outside.
I’m so sorry you didn’t enjoy your stay. One in 350 guests I guess isn’t too bad. It’s not a sewage treatment plant it’s a small water plant for the community. There are no abandon trainers there’s one surrounded by many many nice homes. When people come to the mountains you can’t expect sidewalks and street lights everywhere. And there are plenty of lights around the house. Again this is the mountains that’s why you come here to get away from the lights and the noise of the city.
Excellent location to where we needed to be
Very pleased with the property and surroundings.
This home was exactly what we needed, a quiet place away from it all (but not too far off the grid). The location of the home is fantastic and just minutes from the Blue Ridge Parkway. The kitchen is well stocked for anyone who prefers home cooking to eating out (although our goal for this trip was to avoid cooking as much as possible and we were successful). We had an issue with AC on the first night but the owner Greg was able to get a repairman out the next morning to resolve the issue while we were hiking Mt. Mitchell...we came “home” to a nice, cool space. Would definitely stay here again in the future! Thanks Greg for sharing your home with us!
Lovely home with everything we needed~ Beautifully decorated!
You will be less than three miles to the Botanical Gardens and an entrance to the Blue Ridge Parkway which will provide fantastic views and hiking trails!
