Booking and communicating with Josh was very easy. He responded very quickly and answered all my questions. The condo was very nice, very clean and really comfortable. We did not take public transportation, but the station is maybe 2 minutes away. A small drawback is that you can hear the train running fairly early in the morning in the room with the bunk beds, but otherwise the condo is very quiet. The kitchen is very nice, and the stay felt as if we had been staying at a friend's house There is a restaurant within 2 min walking distance, which serves all meals. We had breakfast there twice and is was good. There is also a small Mexican bakery which has an amazing selection and was open on Sunday. Access to the condo was easy- however, no elevator, which was a small challenge for my elderly mother-in-law. I knew this ahead of time after communicating with Josh. Overall this was a great stay, Josh was a great host and I am looking forward to staying there again when visiting my daughter.

Weekend Retreat

  • 5 of 5

Well, I was looking for a weekend getaway to the city, and I don't think this could've worked out any better. The pictures don't quite do it justice; the property or the neighborhood are quaint, scenic, and perfect for a weekend escape. Cozy atmosphere, close proximity to restaurants, bars, transportation; what else could you ask for. I had never been to the Logan Square neighborhood, but I will say I will definitely be coming back. Josh was an amazing host, readily available to field any questions or concerns at all times. The place was immaculate, and everything we possibly needed was within arms reach. Thanks again, Josh!

Perfect for a family of five adult humans

  • 5 of 5

I booked this home for a multi-night stay with my family of five.

Us "kids" wanted to stay in the Chicago neighborhoods so we could experience the local scene. After we convinced our baby boomer parents to stay somewhere other than the Loop or Magnificent Mile area... we found this posting. Happy to report that all age groups enjoyed staying here. All the comforts of a home with enough space to spread out (especially helpful towards the end of the trip when we all needed a break from each other again!).

The unit is on the top floor of the building. The ceilings are high and no one is above you creating unpleasant noise. We actually did not hear any noise from neighbors below or next door during our entire stay. Although you can see the blue line from the window the passing trains are not too noisy and fade easily into the background. The unit was also very clean and tidy. The advertising is 100% true... the place is really 1/2 block away from the California Blue Line Station. About 400 feet. It was incredibly convenient for 20-30 min. trips to other parts of downtown Chicago. Don't miss the neighborhood spots also within 400' of the front door. Would recommend a trip over to Revolution Brewery or Boiler Room.

All in all we had a great stay at a great place. Thanks for hosting!

As advertised, which is rare nowadays. Felt like being at home for the holidays!

  • 5 of 5

This apartment was great. Just a few blocks from our sons place, it helped make our holiday special. The place was right in the center of it all. Since we had previously lived in Chicago, we did not sightseeing. But for those with that on their agenda, it is close to transportation. Just steps to several restaurants, bars, bakeries etc. Josh made it so easy on arrival and departure. And the parking spot was an added bonus. If he'll have us back, we plan on making this our go to vacation rental in the future.

Wonderful stay!

  • 5 of 5

We are a family with three young children and had a really nice stay. The apartment is spacious and had what we needed. The kids loved the bunk bed and we put a pack in play in the kids' room for our youngest. It's conveniently located close to the L and it also has a parking space, too - we used both. The drive in and out of the downtown area was quick. There are a number of places to eat in the neighborhood as well as bars. Josh was always available and responded to all inquiries very quickly. We enjoyed our stay!

Beautiful Space and Great Location!

  • 5 of 5

We really enjoyed our stay at Josh's place! It is a lovely space (much nicer than it looks in the pictures). There is a nice kitchen, a comfortable living room with lots of light, a beautiful and spacious master bed room, and a kids' room with a bunk bed (the bottom bed is a full). There's no dining room table however. We were not eating meals at home, so it was not a problem for us, but just as an FYI! Josh was easy to get a hold of whenever we had any questions, and he was flexible with us about check in/out times which was much appreciated. The location was great too! It was only about a two minute walk to the blue line stop which goes straight to O'Hare in one direction, and to downtown in the other. Thanks Josh!
