Convenient location with good amenities

  • 4 of 5

Overall, this is a nice place with excellent access to downtown and other nearby Greenville attractions, like the Swamp Rabbit trail, zoo, and parks. It is a little dated and dingy in some areas, but basically clean. Jason is a good host who answered all my questions promptly and provided easy instructions for everything we needed. We would certainly consider staying here again.

Fantastic 2 weeks!!

  • 5 of 5

The apartment was cozy, clean, quiet & very comfortable.

Jason was also a dream to work with. He responded very quickly to my emails/texts & I loved his sense of humor. He made me feel very welcomed!

It was just right for me, as I was traveling alone. I was in town for 3 weeks and managed to get this unit for my last 2 weeks. What a great choice! It afforded me all of the comforts of home, and I felt secure even though no one was with me. I don't travel often at this point, and when I do, hotels are fun for a few days. I did not enjoy the thought of being in a hotel for 3 weeks so I was grateful for this option.

The location is awesome, and provides easy access to downtown. I was pretty busy, so I did not get to spend much time out and around this adorable historic neighborhood, however the little bit of time I was out, everyone I met was very pleasant and friendly.

What I enjoyed most, was sitting at the patio table in the morning with my coffee. It is a basement apartment, and the patio is relatively private. I was able to sit, relax, watch the birds & squirrels scampering around, while I listened to the birds singing. It was such a peaceful way to start my day.

I also loved the fact that I did not once need to use the AC. Being a basement apartment, it stayed pretty cool. I did use the ceiling fan in the bedroom at night, but otherwise I was very comfortable!

I hope to stay here again when I make it back for a visit.

Highly recommended!

  • 4 of 5

The historic neighborhood is picturesque and the condo was very comfortable. Greenville should be renamed "song bird" city as we were greeted every morning with numerous different birds. You name it, it's to be had from this location within easy walking distance & this is from a 63 & 68 year old. Go explore, you won't be disappointed. 🕊?🚶?🏽?‍♀️🚶?🏼?

Christmas in Greenville

  • 5 of 5

Having decided to visit relatives in Greenville for Christmas, we knew we would need accommodations for the two of us and two small Boston Terriers. We knew 5 nights in a hotel room with the dogs wasn't an option so we started to look for rentals. What a pleasant surprise to have found Jason's lovely little property!

Although this is a "basement" unit, there are large windows in every room making it a bright space. The rooms are large and Jason has provided every basic convenience needed for a multiple night stay including a washer/dryer. Located in a beautiful historic district just a couple of minutes from bustling downtown Greenville, the location couldn't be more perfect. We were usually driving, but it is just a 10-15 minute walk to the beautiful downtown area. There is only unreserved street parking in front of the unit, but we were never more than a house away when having to park.

I think the only cautionary words would be that since this is a basement unit, there are 11 steps going down from the yard above to the basement landing. There are sturdy handrails on both sides of the stairway, but anyone having any difficulty navigating steps may not find this a suitable situation. Once down on the landing, there is a small patio with a small wooded area off to the side which makes it convenient for a quick trip outside with the furry ones. Most of the dog walking was done upstairs through the neighborhood.

Jason's lovely property was perfect for our needs...the price and location couldn't have been better. Jason also makes the rental process very easy. The next time we are in Greenville, we will surely be staying there again, if possible.

Very nice neighborhood location; sweet decor

  • 3 of 5

This is the second time we stayed with Jason, the first being in the upstairs duplex which was not available for the dates we needed to be in Greenville. The downstairs apartment is quite clever, and marvelous way to re-make an older home for good use. My only complaints would be the mattress and pillows (there is a slippery mattress cover under the sheet which makes one slide toward the middle on a less than desirable mattress; the pillows are so full and hard, I had to resort to my down jacket to re-stuff the pillow case. There is no soap in the bathroom besides hand washing liquid. We have never stayed in a VRBO or Air bnb that didn't provide some type of showering amenities. I would have brought the necessities had I known. The kitchen is quite adorable, but lacking in appropriate cookware. No tea kettle, no toaster (although Jason offered to reimburse us for one if we wanted to go buy one, which was nice but we didn't have time to go shopping for one), an old aluminum sauce pan, and a very cheap Tfal frypan. Yes, I may be more fussy than others; my camping days are long gone. The mattress, I can't do anything about. All that said, we would be happy to stay in the upstairs apartment because of the location, and Jason is a wonderful host with great communication skills. Property clean and as described. My husband is in his 70's so the stairs could have been an issue (steep). I would recommend this downstairs apartment to younger, "millennial" types who don't want to cook and can sleep on any kind of mattress. Again, it's adorable!
