Clean, great location, perfect stay.

We had a lovely stay in Paris at this VRBO. Walking distance to almost any major attraction and in a very safe and homey neighborhood. Would highly recommend to anyone. We caught one of Paris's heat waves, so sleeping without A/C was a bit hot, but we managed.

Perfect location

Great location for walking to sites in Paris and close to transportation. Excellent boulangeries/patisseries, little grocers nearby. Carrefour is just down the street (as is Bon Marche) and it is incredible. We loved this apartment so much, we rented it 2 years in a row.

Well-located flat in St. Germaine

This is a two bedroom, one bath flat about 100m from the Duroc Metro Station. It is on the fourth floor and there is NO LIFT. The stairs are easily negotiable, but there are three flights,

The flat is located under the roof of the building, so it tends to get warm, which I imagine is good in the winter, but is a bit of a problem in the summer. The two bedrooms are in a loft area up a set of fairly steep stairs. Not too bad, but may be a challenge for older persons or smaller children, Each bedroom has a large skylight which can be opened to provide ventilation. Fans are provided in both rooms, but they do not move much air. One bedroom has a king-sized bed, the other has two single beds. Bedding was of good quality and the beds were comfortable.

The bathroom is downstairs and is equipped with a tub with faucet and shower, sink and a washer/dryer unit. The living area is large with a full sized couch and love seat (both appear to fold out into beds, but we did not test this). There is a large kitchen/dining area. The kitchen is reasonably well equipped, though the counters and some of the pots and pans are showing their age. However, everything was functional and we had no problems cooking full meals using the stove, oven and microwave. It must be noted that the freezer is very, very cold; and we had no problem generating a good supply of ice for cold drinks as it was quite warm.

The neighborhood is great with a number of shops and restaurants within a short walk. Most importantly, there is a small grocer about 50 feet from the front door. The street sees a fair amount of traffic, so it’s not particularly quiet. However, with the windows closed the flat is pretty quiet. When we were there, Paris was experiencing a heat wave, so the windows and skylights had to remain open and the fans on; even so, the nighttime temps dropped fairly quickly and we were able to close the windows enough to block the street noise and yet crack them enough to maintain good ventilation.

All in all, we felt like the flat was in a great location and met our needs very nicely. The host was easy to work with and communicated well even though there was some confusion on the payment of the final balance.

Convienant for metro

We were very fortunate to get this at short notice. Thank you. Few items: no lighting in stairwell for 3 flights- kitchen counter had something removed which left counter very sticky( couldn’t wash off) - very hot upstairs and lamps didn’t work.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your comments. Sorry for the heat upstairs, you were in Paris during a short heat wave. I have since installed efficient fans and ordered Dyson fans. I of course replaced all missing lamps and resurfaced the sticky counter.
