The purpose of our stay was to visit a relative who lives in a small apartment. This home was a five minute walk from our destination. The neighborhood is just outside of the private Forest Hills Gardens neighborhood. It is extremely quiet and safe. Our room was spotlessly clean. There is a mini-fridge, microwave, toaster, electric tea kettle and a few kitchen supplies. We did not use these because coffee shops and restaurants were so close by. The bed was very comfortable and the home was very quiet. We would absolutely make this our NYC home base again in the future.
Centrally located, just a short walk to Forest Hills Stadium, subway, and all the shops and restaurants on Austin Street. Spent a lot of time just walking the neighborhood seeing all the great Tudor's. Loved our stay - the room was large, clean, and very well appointed. Jenny was most accommodating - Thanks. Would stay there again, and highly recommend to all if you are visiting Forest Hills.
Jenny's space was a great way to attend the US Open. It is not walkable to the tennis center, but it is a short ride in a cab or a moderate bus ride. The bed was very comfortable, the pillows were great, there is a small fridge, a microwave and coffee maker, and an air conditioner. The bathroom has lots of space and good hot water. If we were in the area again we would stay here.
We had a wonderful stay with Jenny this July-August. We stayed for 5 days and then left for a short cruise and returned for another 4 day stay. Jenny was a fantastic hostess. She helped us in getting oriented to the area and how to move around in New York. Her home is lovely and very comfortable. The neighbourhood is very pretty and well lanscaped and interesting. Lots of shops and eating places close by. Travelling from Forest Hills around New York is very easy. We would return to stay with Jenny anytime!!
Our room was very roomy. The bathroom had a double sink, walk in shower, and lots of clean towels. (A nice plus). We also had a wall of closets loaded with lots of hangers. The bed was very comfortable. The evenings were quiet which provided a restful sleep. We had a lock to our room for added privacy. The homes have beautiful manicured yards. It is a short scenic walk to nearby stores and markets.
Jenny promptly answered our questions and needs. Overall we had a very good stay at Jenny's home.
We really enjoyed our stay at this location. The home was clean, quiet and secure. It is close to a subway station,,, in walking distance. The neighborhood was beautiful and had lots of restaurants and shopping when we weren't in the city. I would highly recommend this location and home
