Our parents purchased the cottages back in 1977. Almost 40 years ago. A place to take
their family and friends on vacation. Just a short three hour drive from their home town
of Rochester, NY. Just about every weekend we would all pile in the cars all 10 of us, and off to the cottages we would go. Now through the years we are now taking our kids, and our kids are taking their kids to the cottages. I can't tell you enough about all the great times we've shared as a family here. I only hope that you will enjoy the cottage as much as we have, and begin making your own memories here.
Diane purchased this cottage in 1977
Its a little piece of heaven my mom always said. Mom and Dad always felt it was
a safe place for their kids to play, with the large yard and all set back from the quiet
road. A place for us kids to swim and ride our bikes. Mom may be gone but i still can
see her sitting there having her morning cup of coffee watching the ships go by.
This cottage has the most beautiful views of the river. Its located on a private
very quite road. Its a safe place for the family to take walks and bike rides.
We had a great time! The only hold up was it was the hottest summer ever and we all left air conditioning at home. All other needs provided well. Lovely location on the water, ample chairs and consider returning!
This is a beautiful little gem of a cottage, at a spectacular location, just steps away from the river and the lighthouse. I'm originally from Watertown, and spent many summer days either at the lake in Chaumont or in Alex Bay on my uncle's boat. This summer for our vacation we decided to introduce my step-daughter and her husband to all the beauties of the Thousand Islands. Neither of them have been up here before. They loved it. The cottage was the perfect place for planning our days and recouping at night. The open layout of the cottage made it easy to get everything done. At the same time the bedrooms are situated so that there is a lot of privacy. Nice and roomy and the bathrooms were perfect. There is a great area in front of the cottage with a large grill that we took advantage of one night. We had a cook out with my whole clan coming down about 15 of us. The neighbors joined in and there was plenty of room, and the best scenery on the planet. We also went to Canada (EH) and Bolt Castle, Lots of great places to eat, and we did a lot of that too. The boys went fishing one day and caught a bunch of perch and a couple of nice size bass....had a great dinner that night!
We couldn't have asked for a better cottage, location, or experience. It was great, and we thank you very much Diane. I know we'll be back...Ben and Susan will insist!
It was my husband, six year old daughter and I taking our once a year family vacation. The cottage had all the amenities anyone could ask for and more! Fresh clean towels, cooking utensils, etc! The view is spectacular and the location is just a hop skip and a jump to any spots in Clayton and ABay you may want to visit. The owners, Diane and Donna made sure we had everything we needed for our stay and went above and beyond to make us comfortable! A large spacious front yard to fly a kite was perfect for our daughter. We enjoyed having dinner outside on the picnic tables they were provided while watching the freighters go by. The owners are very accommodating, the cottage was clean and perfect for our needs and the location was like a little slice of heaven...
What a beautiful place! Even more beautiful in person! Fantastic sunsets! The cottage is in a picturesque location. We walked daily to the lighthouse with our small children. There is a locals beach 5 min away by car. The water is clean and crystal clear. So many fun things to do in the area for family's with children. The go carts, arcade, mini- golf, aquarium...and much more! Alex bay is highly recommended...boat tour, restaurants, tourist shops, etc. The cottage itself was super clean and had everything we needed! The yard was great to play and cook out and watch the ships go by. Can't wait to go back! Also great for geo-cachers!
We had a Great time! The views are beautiful just like it looks in the pictures. Located right on the water.
The cottage is huge, with a large yard. They have a grill so we cooked out a lot. We did a lot of swimming, the water is so clear and clean. There's a lot to do in the area. The cottage its self is Very nice, and clean, and the price was very affordable. I would definitely come back again with the family. We recommend it. I rate the whole experience a five star.
